Finishing up the Xmas cards ... just have to print out my letter to enclose and they'll be ready to mail. Now the question is: do I mail them before I go to New Orleans or after I get back?

Only 4 days until I hit the big 6-0 ... that just can't be right.

I've reserved plenty for us to do in New Orleans. Thursday we're going to do psychic readings since it's my birthday and it'd be nice if someone could let me know what's coming up this year. Friday is Jazz Brunch at the Court of 2 Sisters and a food tour in the afternoon, then Reveillon Dinner at 8:30. Saturday and Sunday morning we're probably just winging it, walking through the city, or maybe taking a hop-on/hop-off tour or a river cruise.

We got a really good deal on airline tickets, too. First-class was only around $100 more so we jumped on it. Not a very long flight, of course, but for me, the comfort is worth it. Legroom and butt room are nice. The only bad thing is that we have to get up at 0-God-Hundred to catch the first leg out. At least that gets us to New Orleans before lunch. Hoping we can meet up with B and A then and stash our luggage in their trunk until check-in time.

Finished another Amish romance plot for the ghostwriter team, and an article on starting your own YouTube channel for a blog post, so that's over $100 earned for a few hours' work. Not too bad -- if I could find enough jobs like that, I could support myself writing. Failing that, it'd be nice to find a real job for the New Year.

best friends are part of your soul, the road goes ever on and on, but wait ... there's more!, crivens!, how can you stop writing?, travel broadens your mind
