Man, am I sore! We've stepped up the physical therapy now that I'm getting my balance back under control. Doing step-ups (both onto a box and onto a bouncy half-ball), marching in place (on the bouncy half-ball), duck-walking with elastic bands around my feet, and working the leg machine with one leg at a time (I keep forgetting to figure out how much weight I'm lifting tho).
Pip's been on evening duty this week so we've been going out for breakfast pretty much every day. I think my arteries are hardening from all that bacon! Of course, I'm not admitting to all the Bite-Squad deliveries I ordered during the WWW Conference. After all, how could I duck out of the conference long enough to cook (or drive somewhere for fast food)?
Working on two stories for the Patreon site, and an article on CBD for my Upwork client. Hey, every $100 helps. Hoping I can sell some of the stories I sent out and make some real $$ though. I sent the mask story to the critique group to see if it's ready to submit. So far I have gotten one response but she really liked it, so I'm chuffed.
Applied for a shit-ton more jobs the other day, too. So far, we just don't have actual pharmacist jobs in town at the moment, so I'm applying for remote work-from-home jobs that would still pay the mortgage (hopefully ... I have yet to see a salary posted on any of those sites). At this point, I'll pretty much take whatever I can get so long as it's not CVS -- they're worse than Walgreens. High-volume, low tech-hours, super high stress. One thing I'm going to do is call the local recruiting office and see if there's anything they can do to help me out. Maybe find something in an appropriate salary level that I'm qualified to do, even if it's not strictly pharmacy. I'm too young to retire and my 401 K won't last if I dip into it now.
