(no subject)
Done with the rewrite. Not entirely certain the ending is dramatic enough but I'll leave it as is because it's still clocking at more than 100K. I know sci-fi goes up to 120K but I like to keep a debut novel a little lean.
Been working on my other writing jobs -- the romance plots and the article/email thing. Once I get a regular job again I'm going to have to give those up coz they just don't bring in enough revenue ... I'm still giving myself at least 6 months to try it out though. You never know what's going to come up.
Beach trip next month. That'll be fun, though it's going to be weird with masks and social distancing! I need to get working on sheet- and towel-washing before we start packing the cars -- and cleaning up the clutter on the floor!
Getting new gutters though. They're pricy but I'll have a payment plan so it won't be too bad. I'll do my usual and pay it off pretty quickly. I'm tired of having to clean these out plus they're starting to come loose from the eaves and these are the ones with gutter-covers.
It's critique-weekend as well, so I'll be spending the next two days writing and critiquing.
