Poor timing all around this morning ... we tried to time it so we arrived at our favorite pub right at 11 -- they open at 12 on Sundays now. Then we thought "let's just go get a latte and sit in the Barnes & Noble cafe until then" -- they didn't open until 11:30. We ended up at Tipsy Taco -- not my favorite Mexican joint -- but at least their queso dip is quite tasty.
This afternoon I need to read and critique the five other submissions for the local writing group. We meet via Zoom on alternate Mondays now. These folks are way above the level of some of the stuff I've read in my other critique groups, so I rarely do more than point out niggles and typos. However, I do need to read over the material so I can find said niggles ...
Then, I think I'll try to get a start on Book 2, which at the moment remains nameless. I'm going to try James Patterson's approach (from his MasterClass) and write a detailed outline first, then fill in the blanks once I know exactly where we're going. I have the basic plot started, but I need to figure out how we get to the climax and what happens when ...
but wait ... there's more!,
like and equal are not the same thing,
velyr - wtf?,
the fall will probably kill you,
crivens!,
how can you stop writing?
