Well the good news is that today's the day vacation starts - going to pick up berealexander at the airport in a few hours and we're headed for the beach tomorrow bright and early.
The bad news is that they messed up my vacation hours and we'll have to come back home a day early, Friday night instead of Saturday morning next week. That sucks - but I'm trying to be positive about it and not ruin the vacation bitching and moaning over it. At least we do have six days. At least we do have a nice oceanfront condo. At least we're getting a nice visit with several out-of-state friends. At least we have a comfortable car to drive instead of the old one where I'd be worried the transmission would go any moment...
The other bad news is that I found out second-hand they've filled that position they half-way had offered me, the store closer to my house. I'm really bummed about that ... if they weren't going to offer it to me, why did my district manager call me and tell me to expect a call from the Charlotte manager about the job? If I could get away with it, I'd give someone the finger...
