Several things going on this week.

Tiggrr and I had a huge argument about whether or not he was going back into exile in the garage. I let him into the house while I clean the litter box and put food/water out every day -- Tuesday I mistakenly did this while I was getting ready for work and he didn't want to go back out once I'd finished, so I picked him up. I had forgotten how much he hates being picked up. Left a trail of blood from the garage to the bathroom, ruined a towel (fortunately I grabbed an older one) and had to get my partner to cover for me at work long enough to go down to the doctor's office for a tetanus shot and some antibiotics for the bites. *sigh*

Of course, now he's acting like it never happened and is all purr-y and friendly and rubbing all over everyone's legs ... but somehow now I don't feel quite so bad trying to get rid of him. Of course, I also have to go to DHEC in 2 weeks to show proof of his vaccinations and prove he didn't give me rabies. Evidently now you have to report any animal bites if you go to the doctor's office with them -- I don't have time for all this crap.

Plus, I still have to go to probate court for Mom's estate. Thought I didn't have to do that once all the claims against the estate were settled, so now I'm in trouble for not showing up the first time. I plan to throw myself on the mercy of the judge and claim sheer stupidity and mental illness and whatever else I can think of to avoid a fine.

I have decided to attend another writing conference, too - this one in November. It's the Tony Hillerman Conference in Santa Fe. I'm going to take a couple of extra days and visit my best friend B while I'm in New Mexico, too, as Albuquerque is only an hour away.

I have sold all but 10 of the 50 books I ordered from the publisher. And I haven't even been to any events like flea markets or gun shows!

kye and the kid, it is what it is, we're all mad here, don't make me get the flying monkeys, half a year up and half a year down
