The Saga of the Desk continued
My friend* J came over and put my desk together -- he was the only one of the four of us who could decipher the feckin' instruction sheet. What can I say? Some people are born mechanical and the rest of us aren't.
So now, I have the basic desk. I have to put together the hutch for the top of it, plus the bookcase to go next to it. I can do those, however, because they involve no oddly shaped metal sliding rods that have to be configured "as in the picture."
My new desk is huge compared to the old one. Once I get the hutch on, I'm going to have so much storage space I won't know what to do with it all!
Now ... to get back to my writing. I've been distracted recently by my re-reading of the Millennium trilogy -- drat you, Steig Larsson!
