So my pals
pipmudturtle and J (and my new friend P and J's fiancee) have talked me into getting back to WoW. We've created *gasp* Alliance characters and started a new guild with which to plague our Horde guild -- the sad thing is that we can't pester our own alts!
I'm working on Outlaw Security -- the Kirkham chapters seem dull to me, and I'm trying to work out how to write two POV characters. I still like the idea of having the federal agent tell part of the story because I like getting an outside view of Kye and Jess, but I don't like having him come off as a dull stick-in-the-mud either. I'm working out how to have him mistrust and look down on the two, and slowly come to respect them despite himself. Writing is hard work.
Tomorrow is J's fiancee's bridal shower -- we're having a co-ed party in case you're chuckling thinking you have figured out the gender of velyr! --
pipmudturtle tried to get me to buy her embarrassing underwear, but I'm going with kitchen stuff from their registry. Most of the stuff that Pip and J have at the apartment belongs to Pip, so J and his fiancee have almost nothing for cooking. Since I have the best handwriting (I know calligraphy), J asked me to keep the gift record book, too. Should be fun, as I've never really been involved in all this stuff before. My own wedding mostly consisted of dressing up and standing wherever I was supposed to (and saying the right words of course).
In case you wonder, no, mine didn't last beyond the seven year itch.
Sold a couple more very old children's books, too. So far, Amazon has done me good, getting rid of some of my excess and cleaning out all of the old books we had when we still lived at home. I'm pretty much done with clearing out Mom's stuff. Still a few things I have to decide whether to sell or keep ... I've also started a "yard sale" box so I can clean out the crap before Pip moves in.
