I'm alive! with internets!
YAAAAAY! I finally got my dsl up an running. It had actually been installed since near the end of july, but as I was installing the dsl activation thingie I realized that my computer was wheezing its last breaths. about FIVE WEEKS LATER and $190 lighter in the pockets my computer is back from the vt computer peoples with a brand new hard drive and all my old files (well most of them I think) already installed back on it. Then when I got it hooked up, there were still problems installing dsl and since it was the first week of school I decided not to deal with it. Finally called tech support and they led me thru a backdoor to set it up manually so YAAAAAAY.
Only bad thing is that my router didn't come with a disc, so now there's a network but I can't connect to it wirelessly so I sit here with a yellow umbilical ethernet cord next to the router to get my internets.
I'm also concerned b/c sellie keep gnawing on both my computer and the cables, even though I try to stop her.
I shall find a way to get wireless... but not right now.
