RE: Moving to DW
After reviewing the results of the poll and taking your comments into account, we the staff feel it is for the best interest of the community, the game, and our players to take the plunge and move to Dreamwidth.
We will begin importing the community to Dreamwidth Monday, January 9th. You may start joining the communities we have set up immediately. The communities are the main comm, the logs comm, the ooc comm, and the spam comm. The mod journal is here and there is a place to voice concerns.
Feel free to join the with whatever journal you will be using on the new site. Please note your new journal doesn't have to have the same name as the one you use here. We do ask that everyone re-fill out the Taken Post so that we can know what new journal you are using for the game. As you are recognized on the taken list we will add you to the comms and you may begin posting there as you desire. As stated above, old entries will be imported by next week for all to use. You may continue using the comms here on LJ until then. There is no rush to join the new comms, we will give current players until this time next week to decide if the would like to join. Persons on hiatus will, of course, be able to wait until after their hiatus is through. We will be contacting them at that time about the move.
We understand that some of you have concerns about moving to this site and moving in general, and we hope to make the transition as smooth and accommodating as possible for all of you. We have compiled some resources that give information about Dreamwidth's site and how to use it from a variety of other persons, and we hope these will be of aid to anyone concerned about the new site. Any questions you have about the move or DW can be directed at us and we will do our best to help.
We do realize, resources or not, that some of you do not want to leave. If you decide not to come with us, we understand. We you all the best for the future. We want the best for our players and if that is what is best for you we support you fully. Some of you may object to having your posts imported to DW. In that case, you may delete your content before next week. You can also delete your account temporarily (on January 9th). That will ensure that the content is not taken to the new communities. Again, if this is your decision we support you in making it.
We ask for your patience and understanding with the staff during this move and want to thank all of you for your understanding thus far. We hope that this will be a step into improving our community and will allow us to better serve you as mods.
