Well, actually I joined VelvetxTrigger before I read this, especially for the layouts. ;) Such a well succeed graphics journal - so many stylish, irreverent works (and members!)... Your affiliate policy is very pertinent and clever. I agree with all the points.
I always loved graphic design, and I have been trying it myself more seriously since May. I don´t know I am 'good' enough to become an affiliate of yours, but, honestly, I'd love to. ;] Well, it's a matter of checking me out... X__X
'Born' in 22 July; I posted there for the first time at 4th August. We are 19 friends (15 of these are members). Much better than I could ever expect, but I feel quite lonely yet. ;[
Characteristics? Until now I have posted icons only. Anime icons, I add (Ouran K. Host Club and Death Note - in this last one I have been working on each character separately). I am planning to post Anime banners, bars, signatures, etc. It is also my intention to post icons based on my own photographs (objects, food, animals, details, etc). (BTW, I suppose no one would see them - how to promote them? And who could have interest?!...)

Trampa! *LOL!* I was "kidding", I don't care about it, I just follow something alike myself - I visit and try to know the work of my (now and future) affiliates. I added your community to my list as well.
