"Last Update 36 Weeks Ago"
I know, I know. I'm awful about updating... and to the three of you who still read livejournal, I apologize.
I survived the first year of grad school and managed to get elected Lit Guild president. I'm looking at potential PhD spots, which means I'm not completely fed up with academe... yet.
That's the boring stuff.
This is the good stuff:
I'm spending the summer trying to make a living off of music. I'm not looking to become a rock star, but I've always wondered how difficult it *actually* is to live decently as a musician. I've got three months to make a go of it. I've booked one show so far, but to really get going, I need a new demo, so I'll be at Amberwolf Studios this morning recording a few tracks.
My goal is to be able to pay the rent/bills and buy groceries on a musician's wages by the end of the summer. I'll try to post weekly updates.
