I just scored awesome tix from my co-worker to next Wednesday's Caps game. =D Nothing like discounted prices on kick-ass CLOSE seats.

Sorry we weren't able to connect for the Bruins game...we ended up getting there later than we'd planned, by which time the cheapest tix were $35, so we bought a couple of cheap seats from a scalper and, after watching the first period from the rafters, moved down to Section 104, Row Q to enjoy a nice closeup the rest of the game. It was awesome watching Ovechkin's breakaway from there, and I'd told Lauren that he was gonna light up Hannu Toivonen in just that fashion only moments earlier. It was so disappointing watching them sit back on their asses after going ahead by 2 -- totally reminiscent of the old Patrick Division days when many a game was lost to the Isles, Pens, Rangers, Devils, or Flyers after they'd ascended to a 2 goal lead. I'm sure the Izz-master got a huge kick out of the Caps' late game collapse and subsequent ass-kicking by the B's. :-( We'll just have to take 'em down next time the B's are in town (Monday, January 23rd, 7PM).

entropicalia and I will be at the Ottawa game in our usual haven [425, Row B, 3&4], and anxious to see how the Caps will fare against the most insanely potent offense in the NHL. They've had Ottawa's number in the past, but I'll be amazed if they can hang with the likes of Heatley, Spezza (provided he's back in action by then), Alfredsson, and the rest of that scary-ass lineup.

Yep, we're planning on the 23rd already, still hafta get seats for that one. Yeah, either Ottawa is gonna completely SLAM the Caps...or there will be some miracle and the Caps will have their number. Either way, it'll be nice to see a team play that is at the top of their game.

Look for us in Section 114, row C...I guess we'll be right under ya.

We'll look for you two and come harrass you between periods! :-)
