This is the Revival of my LJ! Once again, I'm going to try to use this more often, like daily ideally. I've been tweeting away but I think I'd like something with a bit more meat, maybe even a discussion, and Facebook kinda bores the shit out of me. So back to good ol' LJ it is. This time however I'm going to do things differently, I used to think ( Read more... )

See I'm the same way about most Social Media, I lurk & read, but I'm bad about writing. I'm going to try to change that.

Any time you want to come over & play in my BPAL stash you're more than welcome. I like the light & warm scents but I've managed to get a bunch of different stuff including some stronger, earthier &/or muskier ones. I was going to try to trade them but you may as well try them on!

I forgot that evergrey locks her posts now. I've reproduced my comments below. That should make it easier to read. ;-)

See there's this thing that most women are taught to do when measuring band size and that is "add 4 inches to your measurement". There is also a statistic that says that about 80% of Women are wearing the wrong bra size. I think there's a correlation here. Think about it. If you were making a dress and you added 4" to the hip measurement, what would that look like? Most people would say ill fitting.
The kind folks at Lane Bryant & Victoria's Secret & Torrid kept telling me I was a 40 DDD when they measured me then wondering why their bras in that size either gave me Quadra Boob both above & below the bra. BOOBS SHOULD NOT LEAK OUT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR BRA which is what happens when you add 4"to your band size. Also those underwires? They should be laying FLAT against your chest, not leaning out at a 45* angle.
I finally started listening to my friends that knew what they were doing when they measured someone. My corset-maker friends, my dressmaker friends (and a couple of awesome dames that own bra boutiques). I had 2 of my friends that used to work at Dark Garden measure me. I also had the owner of Alla Prima & Michelle, the owner of Dollhouse Betty (also a bigger gal), measure me ALL said the same thing. 36H. Bra's are supposed to be well fitted support garments, especially when you're the size that we are. Then again, I like the idea of a bra that does what a corset does. DO NOT subtract 4" from your band size, it'll just result in poor support.
Yes it is possible to find the bra that you need without breaking the bank. First off go to one of the places above & get properly fitted. Alla Prima carries bras up to 38H and Dollhouse Betty carries bras up to 38G. Then you can go online and find bras by several European makers that are doing things right, including(& I think you'll like this)Freya.

hugs & kisses to you too sweetie!
