Uh--hey! How's it going? *kicks her way through the dust*
Sorry I've been out of contact here for so long. Happily, things are way, way better than they were at my last update. (And so many thanks to everyone for their kind comments; I really did appreciate them, even though I didn't manage to respond.) The new med has been working very well for me, work has been great, I've been writing productively, the kitties are happy and well. Life is being pretty good.
I don't have a year-end wrap up or a set of resolutions for 2015, but I do plan to do a lot of writing in the year to come. I've joined
Get Your Words Out, with a pledge to write 200,000 words this year. That comes to 548 words a day, which I think is doable. It's probably going to be mostly fanfic, although I've been feeling nudges to get back to the original material, so we'll see.
Fic-wise, I'm still writing pretty exclusively in Attack on Titan. Somehow I made a 180 turn from canonverse Levi/Eren to dorky Jean/Marco AUs. (And this from a person who at one point was griping about how many AUs there are in this fandom, when the canon is so interesting and intense. Ha ha whoops.) Right now I have...four?...Jean/Marcos in progress: a canon-divergent AU in which Jean is a unicorn; a modern-day vampire AU; a modern-day Chubby!Marco AU; and a weird thing that's half canon-divergent, half modern-day AU and impossible to describe without spoiling it. I think that's everything at the moment.
I don't have an exact count of how much I wrote in 2014 because I'm too lazy right now to open up my various docs, but I posted over 60,000 words of newly written fic to AO3 this year. (Not counting the Blue Exorcist fics that I wrote previously and only posted this year, or "Thirteenth Kirin," because again, too lazy to figure out how many words were actually written this year and not eight years ago. :P )
I have a fannish twitter now (originalnchan) where I periodically post blurts about things I'm writing or reading or whatever. So if you're on Twitter and feel like stopping by, go for it!
And I think that's about it for right now. Sheri should be back soon with my bagel, and then I'm going to get down to some writing.
Have a wonderful 2015, and may all your hopes, dreams, and resolutions come to be!
