In case I should start to babble randomly about Attack on Titan stuff, here for your reference is a picture of
pretty much all of our main characters, conveniently arranged by height. Note that they're wearing modern our-world stuff, and not actual clothing from the series. Try not to be too disturbed by Dead!Marco's head appearing behind Jean's shoulder.
- Ymir is female. She and Christa are a thing. (Yes, canonically.)
- Fandom has embraced Hanji as some sort of non-binary/third-gender character, but IIRC Word of God has also declared her female. [EDITED to add: Apparently my original source was wrong, and e is officially
ambiguously gendered. My bad!]
- Every woman in this picture has killed at least one gigantic monster-thing and can almost certainly kill you.
- Armin is probably my favorite character, what with his "I am little and girly-cute and my brain is the deadliest weapon in this entire show and if you threaten my friends I will destroy you." (Shades of my headcanon Omi, kind of.)
- I don't have an OTP for this series. Fandom pairs things up every which way--Erwin/Levi* are probably the most popular but leave me meh so far. I can get into Jean/Eren if it keeps something of the "I don't really like you, but I guess I respect you, and oh well, maybe I can get along with you after all but don't read too much into this" dynamic, or just has them being awkward dorks with each other, but they can't be too schmoopy or too smooth.**
- Reiner/Bertolt is...kinda maybe almost canonical? If Reiner wasn't totally lying? I'm neutral on this pairing too, though.
Really, I'm into this for the gen angst and fight scenes more than anything.
* Here rendered as Ervin/Rivaille--oh gods, the name transliteration issues in this series. Bertolt's last name frequently appears as "Fubar," which cracks me up.
** Eren is not a seductive stripper/pole dancer/prostitute, what is wrong with you???
