Your name: Justin (or Vinsfeld, Vins, whatever if it's easier. You guys know me well enough by now that there's no need for that) Age: 21 Email: ashimaru@hotmail.com Messengers: You have all these
Name: Luna Isabelle Valerie Gender: Female Blood Type: A Birthday/Sign: September 1st/Virgo Age: 16 Occupation/Grade: 10 Room:
PB: Echo from Pandora Hearts
Appearance:
Luna stands at about 5'4" with nicely taken care of black hair. There's something of a blue-ish hint or sheen to her naturally black hair when in the right light. Usually, she wears it in a bob. Her eyes are blue and her skin is somewhat fair, though paler than it probably should be.
When not in uniform, she can usually be seen wearing something of a short black jacket with a black skirt beneath, extending longer than one might expect to see. Her shoes are black, flat heels. Black is kind of a theme with her.
Some alterations made to her uniform might include handcrafted occult paraphanalia, such as colored cords wrapped around her arms, and she might be seen wearing a necklace with a small pentagram on it. The cords are usually blue or red; the meaning of these colors are more or less unknown to the common observer, and Luna typically won't explain them to just anyone. She might also be seen carrying around a small bell, ringing it in various areas to see who responds to it.
Her eyes are usually droopy, dreamy and half-lidded. She never really smiles and usually wears one expression except in the rarest of occasions (when startled, when angered, etc.)
Personality:
Luna's personality is a mix of aloofness and a quiet creepiness. She can be alarmingly dense at times, often not understanding the wording that others use or just completely not hearing them at all. She is prone to long, quiet moments of staring far off into the distance and looking at things that don't seem to be there to anyone else. She sometimes repeats things for emphasis, or just to hear herself talk.
She's difficult to anger. If someone really persists in trying to anger her, she will calmly look at them and inform them that anger is a governed emotion and succumbing to it means you fall under the control of some otherworldly entity. It might seem like nonsnsical gibberish to some, but Luna actually seems to believe in it more than she probably should. To that end, she is constantly making references to beliefs she has about certain subjects (e.g., if one lives their life too much free of struggles, they might be governed in Heaven by one who values happiness above all other things). She seems to be obsessed with balance in all things, to the point at which it might borderline on minor OCD.
Her voice is often quiet. She typically does not worry about whether or not she has been heard properly and will likely just treat it as if she was, anyway. She's one of those people who barrel through conversations without explaining any of what she really means and hoping the other person understands without questioning them for understanding.
She's also a very studious girl. Knowledge seems to be the most important thing to her, but she will not explain why and will not say what form of knowledge is most important. On the surface, she seems to value the occult most of all but a simple observation will show that Luna is actually interested in learning all sorts of subjects.
She's a heavy sleeper. She sometimes oversleeps, and has been known to stay up late in the night even if curfew has passed and she knows she needs to be in bed. She chooses to read by candlelight rather than using electricity. She claims it is simpler.
Most of all, Luna seems to take pride in educating those who have no knowledge in the things that she knows. She's not a very capable teacher, mind you, but the knowledge she tends to display might be startling to some, or at the very least unexpected. She's also heavily analytical and will likely analyze a situation several times for proper understanding.
The Valerie family has been deeply rooted in history as a family of established cultists. A long time ago, though it is unknown exactly when but estimated to be in the hundreds of years, one of Luna's distant ancestors came to a sleepy part of the south and settled upon the idea of starting a cult to test the limits and depths of his charisma. The man was silver-tongued and people who heard him speak often found a certain amount of truth in his words--even if he made everything up from the very beginning. He founded a town there for his cult to live in, and to practice in. The idea of the man's cult was loosely based on the idea that all knowledge is relative; knowledge never fades in or out of existence, never rendered obsolete and, most importantly, could never innately be good or evil. Soon enough, his cult's teachings became deeper when he began seeing figures in his dreams that he believed governed over certain actions that all humans perpetrated throughout life. He came to refer to these beings as Idols, and his cult quickly developed into one devoted to the idea of Idolatry. His teachings drove him insane, however, and he began committing unspeakable acts to satisfy these otherworldly governors. Eventually, he died and his successors took over.
This was the foundation that the Valerie family continued to perpetuate for a long, long time. The beliefs changed, the practices changed, but the cult remained the same. Eventually, the cult split into two sects with drastically different beliefs. They warred over control of the town itself, and eventually lost it. One sect went on to spread the cult's teachings to the north. This would be the sect that Luna's father would later be born into.
As a child, Luna was not well-liked by her peers. Her family was obviously different than others due to their religious beliefs and their odd practices. They worshipped beings that nobody had ever heard of--beings that they couldn't even give names to simply because they believed they were not worthy enough to do so. Luna herself was a bit of an odd girl simply because she tried to get others to buy into, or validate her beliefs. Often, she was shunned and made fun of to the point at which her parents started taking her out of schools because they didn't want things to get worse for their daughter.
Luna's family moved a lot due to persecution, or how Luna was treated while in school. After the stock market crashed in 1929, this became a lot more common because of the amount of people that started turning away from religion in general. Eventually, they settled down in Abaton City, resolving that they really didn't care what others thought of them anymore. They believed they had the right to practice whatever they wanted in their own home, and that Luna had the right to believe in whatever she chose however, they told her time and time again not to spread it at school. Unfortunately for her parents, Luna was just too fascinated by her family's history and continued to do so. This lead to more harsh bullying, more parent teacher conferences, and more of Luna's parents not knowing what to do with their daughter. They decided to look into alternatives. They thought that if Luna went to school in a more privatized setting that things wouldn't be so bad for her and she might be able to concentrate on her studies. After looking into some options, they ultimately decided that because it was a small school with a great reputation that Adessi Hall was the best way to go. Making their daughter promise them that she would place her studies above everything else and, of course, not talk so much about their history, they decided to use every bit of funds they had remaining to send their daughter to Adessi, hoping for the best.
Weapon: Athame (ritual dagger) Stats: Magic, vitality, agility, strength, luck Persona: Morgan le Fay (Baba Yaga) Strength: Status attacks Weakness: Pierce Physical Primary skillset: Status/Curse Secondary skillset: Wind Other: Luna can be seen sometimes carrying a teddie around with her. It's brown with a black ribbon on its neck. She also sleeps with it. It's her only friend. Without it, she gets pretty frantic.
