Simple or Complex?

Is it better to be simple or complex? Is it better to live a life of simplicity or complexity? If you're overly simple, you could be label as retarded and people will look and treat you differently, but you wouldn't worry about half the problems people worry about. Then again, if you are complex, you would at least be considered a functional human ( Read more... )

deep stuff rei_klutzy_rain February 14 2006, 03:10:21 UTC
that's some deep stuff right thereXD I'd want to be somewhat inbetween both if possible because if you base your life on what people say about you, then you'd be living life as a puppet basing your every move on what strings society pulls.

i'm afraid i don't agree with your interpretations. to simple doesn't necessaryly have to be seen as retarded but it could be seen as knowing your priorities...and being really in tune with your self and then that whole complex thing...i think that might freak people out more....
yes it could be alluring but atleast withthe simple person you don't have to dig or it's plain and simple while in the other nothing is certain cause basiclaly couldn't everyhting just cancel out.......... and
"psychologically complicatedd" is that somehting really to be proud of in this awful society we live in....maybe i'm just to anti-social to see it other wise, but straying from the norm in any way (cimple or complex) is gonna get you killed like heil-ing hitler in germany! hehe sorry i'm really into hilter at the moment....so what would i choose? i don't know....both are quite appealing.........i'll let you know when i pick :) haha take that stevie b (although that isn't really as indisiscive as he was but whatever.............)

I was basing off of reading the play were doing in class called "Boys Next Door," which about a group of guys who are mentally challenged and the movie "Prozac Nation," which is based on a true story of a girl who is a talented Harvard student who ends being addicted to prozac. For the "overly simple" part, these guys are oblivious to the fact that they live in a cruel world. One guy only worries about where do the dust come from and unlike us, we don't care about it that much. For the complex part, what I meant was people have so much drama in their live, they end up complicating a situation or in another case would be chemically imbalance, which causes depression. It just happens. We don't choose they way we are. It's a hypothetical question. If you can choose to be one of these. What would it be?

I wish I could say neither. I don't know...I think i'd choose the simple though because I'd at least be happy even if I don't fit in and if it's so simple, then I probably wouldn't realize I don't fit in.
