Firstly - sure I'll do you a copy of that CD, but be warned - some of it's really really difficult & I still can't get it! Also I suggest you look in the main library in town to see if you can get one, as that's where I got this one and also then you'd have 2 different ones so it might be better :)

Secondly - the way things are going at the moment I'll never move to Japan, but I'd see if I could afford a place with a spare room, just for you :)

I really want to stay doing office work, to keep 'in the loop' now that I've finally got into it at this grand old age! But there just doesn't seem to be anything available either in St A or London at the moment - although I know I'm being impatient as I've not long sent off most of the applications... I really didn't want to go back to retail as I hated it so much and was so happy to get away from it, but HMV is very appealing so thanks for suggesting it! I might try it if I don't get anywhere with the agencies by the start of next week (arrrgh cutting it fine now)

i didnt think about the libray- i always forget it exists! but im sure i have a card, i'll have to do that- good plan!

I didnt mean retail as a permanent thing- i totally get what you mean, i could never go back to it myself- i mean if it looks like it'll take a while to get an office job, you could do some retail temping part time of something, whilst you look. That way it keeps you employed, so you dont have a big 'DOLITE!' section on your CV (like i have a few too many times!) As you know, you can quit a job at any point if its a temping thing, which would be ideal :)

DONT USE AGENCIES!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure i've told you time & time again that not once has an agency managed to find me work-mostly cos they dont listen. But they work for you so it makes sense in your case i spose :)
generally- you dont get temping in shops. HOWEVER! from oct-jan they'll all want christmas temps- you just have to take your CV into any shop you're interested in, or ask around for application forms. all the major shops will employ just for chrimbo-which would tide you over till you find something more suitable :) make out like you wanna stay after chrimbo in the interview, of course- then if they do offer you a permanent position, just turn it down :)

Y'know, I've been thinking I should pursue writing more, as I've always loved writing and have always written creatively (until recently, when I don't seem to have had the time to do anything for myself) - this post was kind of dipping my toes in the water of how to start a novel, to see how it would sound and if it might work! Not sure what the rest of any novel would be about, but this could maybe be my start... :p

Thnak you about the compliments on the hair too!
