FYI....
Christmas sucks. My grandfather passed away today at about 730ish PM. I've driven back and forth across the state 3 times this week. I saw my grandpa Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for about a half hour each day. Today I was there from 2ish til 6. Then went to my mom's where I took a nap. While he passed away. =(
but my dad, aunt and uncle were there. the 3 youngest kids of my grandpa.
Christmas will never be the same again for my family. I'm glad I was able to be here in town though this week. I'm glad and grateful and thankful and appreciative of my store giving me all this time off. I'm supposed to go back to work Tuesday but I need to call tomorrow and see if I can have that off too to drive back. We think the funeral will be Monday with burial afterwards... so I'll drive back the next day. Sigh. I'm going to go. I'll post more in another day or so, more for my benefit than ya'll. There are things I want to write up and be able to remember later on.
Oh yeah. Kyle. I asked my uncle today if he'd be willing to give me the two 78's that I remember and he said yes. We know he has "You Are my Sunshine" by Gene Autry but no one is sure if he has the Christmas one. I couldn't remember who sang it... But it had Rudolph on side and Santa Claus is Coming to Town on the other side... so hopefully they will be in my possesion this weekend! Or sometime in the near future.
