I thought this only happened on MythBusters

P attempted to defrost some sausages in our microwave oven last night. I went into the kitchen for some reason and was really glad I had, because I was greeted by a fire in the microwave. It was small and entirely contained in the oven, but still, yikes! I imagine it was caused by the plastic that was still partially on the package. Damn.

We have a difference of opinion about whether or not the microwave will ever be the same again.
