I heard one of the authors of The 101 Most Influential People Who Never Lived interviewed the other day about the list. I, along with one of the radio hosts, was shocked that Homer Simpson didn't make the list. Maybe I've been living under my rock too well because there were a couple names on the list unfamiliar to me. I did get a kick out of seeing Mary Richards, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer made the list between Barbie and Venus and Cupid, cute that Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock are counted together, and nice that Bambi is counted as an influential person. Bambi certainly traumatized me as a child. Santa should at least be no. 1, though, over the Marlboro Man. I mean really.
