Writer's Block: Taking It Personally

Ha! The MBTI - that's what I do for a living. I'm an INTJ and that's actually not what comes up on my results but what I've determined for myself.  It certainly suits me.

I was working in a field that forced me to work outside of my preferences for a long time, which had a significant impact on the way I responded to the questions. This happens frequently, and it's why certified practitioners can't just pass out results without talking to the client (I've had lots of people say "just fax them to me - I just want to know what I'm supposed to be" as if any 93 question test could truly do that). The information about the types is quite accurate, but lots of things affect our responses. If you took the test on Facebook or whatever and you don't agree with your results, it's most likely because a) you didn't take the real thing, and b) your preferences weren't clear to you as you responded.
