Twenty Years Later
Yeah, so I turn 20 tomorrow. Today has been my last day as a teenager. I spent it in class with a perfect friend and out on a run on the same trails that I pounded my feet across for an untold number of miles throughout the past six years.
I've had some fun times and some not so fun ones, but I think the ratio between the two has been in my favor in the long run.
A year ago at this time I was sitting in Corey's room catching up with him and getting ready to embark on the most memorable vacation of my life.
I'm still here a year later, even after some of the hardest times I've had to face. I'm just glad to have my friends, to have loved, and to still have a lot more time to go out there and live life.
I remember how scared I was of having to grow up last year when I was with Corey. I realized how everything was rushing past me and I either had to get on the damn train or I was going to be left behind.
I'm glad that I can say that I'm finally on track now. Everything is gonna be fine, thanks to a few certain people and a lot of determination.
