I'M BACK...WELL I'VE BEEN BACK FOR AWHILE LOL...JUST BEEN BUSY!
I got back from Vegas on the 11th, which was awhile ago I know, but I've been busy with school!
Anyways...VEGAS WAS AWESOME! I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE! IT'S SOOO BEAUTIFUL THERE!!!
We left on the 6th, super early in the morning might I add. We had to take to planes there; one from Winnipeg to Minneapolis and then from Minneapolis to Vegas. We go to the hotel (Paris Hotel) at around 12ish or so. We checked in, unpacked, got dressed up, and headed out to the Imperial Palace where we ate, explored the hotel...well more like watched mom gamble lol, and then saw Legends in Concert which is an impersonater show. They impersonated Bobby Darrin, Britney Spears, Garth Brooks, Sting, The Temptations, and of course...the one and only King of Rock n' Roll Elvis Presley. The guy who impersonated Bobby Darrin didn't really look like him but did sound a lot like him when he sang, so I guess that made up for the not looking like him part lol. The Britney Spears Impersonater...well...let's just say Britney Spears herself does a better job at being Britney when lip synching lol. The Garth Brooks guy was pretty good too, really funny, and really interactive with the audience; which is good for a performer to be. But he kinda looked like Garth but was a lot heavier in weight than Garth Brooks actually is, and he also didn't have that trade mark goatee, so that kinda sucked, and he didn't really sound like him either lol. He was still pretty good though. The Sting impersonator I did not like a lot, he didn't really sound like him, definitely didn't look like him, and I don't know, he just sucked, I didn't take a liking to him lol. The Temptations one was the best by far, they sounded like them, looked them, and even did the dance moves exactly like them. They were full of energy, and were very interactive with the audience, they were the best out of the whole show!!! And no the Elvis impersonater wasn't actually that good! He of course sounded like him but didn't really look like him all that much. He didn't even really seem like he was all into performing either, he sucked at the dancing, he kept doing that stupid lip thing over and over again and yea he just didn't seem like he wanted to be there. And I also bought these awesome glasses that light up! They're great!
Anyways, on the 7th, we got up, chilled for a bit in our room, ordered some breakfast, got ready and headed out to Ballys for my dad's class reunion meeting/lecture type thing, not the actual reunion though; it was just a place for people to chill and cath up. We stayed there for about a couple of hours. Then we went back to the hotel room, changed and headed out to the Bellagio. Dad and I exlpored around for a bit and took a bunch of pictures. Then we watched mom gamble some more lol. Then we headed back to our hotel room and got ready for the show 'O' by Cirque De Soleil. We went back to the Bellagio, watched mom gamble again lol and then watched the Cirque show! IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING! 'O' is all based on water, the stage was just a gigantic tank! There's just too much to explain about the show, you'd have to ask me in person about it lol! It was just the best thing I've ever seen, these people deserve a lot of acclamation! They're the most amazing athletes I've ever seen! I mean I don't think even gymnasts can do the things these people did in the show! It was great! And the theatre was beautfiul and huge! After the show we walked around the Bellagio some more, and ate dinner at a Chinese resturaunt called Noodles, really good food!
On the 8th we woke up again...duh! Lol, then we got ready, and headed out to MGM Grand. We explored around the hotel for a bit, headed to the casino there because, of course, my mom wanted to gamble lol. So my dad and I did some more exploring for a bit. We decided to go through the lion pit they had there right in the middle of the casino, it was kickass!!! Of course the lions were sealed in, duh! They had like a big sorta of glass cage type thing and the lions would walk directly over top of you! It was sooo cool! After that, once the resturaunts opened, we ate at Wolfgang Puck's Bar & Grill. Again, the food was fucking delicious!!!! Then my mom gambled some more. We headed back to the hotel room, got ready for my dad's reunion and then headed back out to the MGM Grand, where the reunion took place at Kraft's Steakhouse, and of course ate some more good food there and took some more pics at the reunion and stuff. Then we just headed back to the hotel and watched mom gamble some more.
And on the 9th we just spent the whole day exploring the strip! First dad and I ate at this awesome buffet in the hotel we stayed at (Paris Hotel) which I can't spell because it was in French lol. Again, the food, it was amazing! Then we came back to the room, chilled for a bit, and got ready to head out on the town. We went to Caesars Palace, omg that place is fucking amazing!!! They have every designer name from every kind of product you could think of!!! Of course we watched mom do a little gambling too lol. Then we headed out to the Mirage where we went through Sigfried and Roys Secret Garden where they had dolphins, lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards, lamas, and swans! It was sooo awesome!!! And the last hotel we went to was the Aladdin, which was right across the street from the Paris hotel. Well we watched mom gamble some more lol, and dad and I explored; it was pretty cool. We ate ice cream at Ben and Jerrys! They of course had awesome stores of all kinds there, and it was just huge, so huge that they fit a whole entire huge ass boat in there, I mean like a naval looking type boat, and even had a little doc in the middle of the hotel! After that we went back to the hotel, mom went back to the casino there and gambled, dad took a nap, and I went shopping between Ballys and Paris and bought gifts for people. Then we all came back, got dressed up and ate at the Eiffel Tower resturaunt, and yet again, the food was fabulous! Then we went back to our room, changed in more comfortable clothes and went all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower and took some beautiful scenery shots from there. And of course we watched mom gamble again lol.
Then on the 10th, we got up, chilled, got ready, and headed out to Caesars Palace again and watched mom gamble for a bit, I think...if I can remember correctly lol. Then we also ate some food too I believe. We ate a lot there lol! Then we went back to the hotel room and got dressed up and then dad and I ate at Spagos, which is another resturaunt run by Wolfgang Puck, while mom gambled. Then we saw Elton John and the Red Piano. It was a pretty good show, but it would've been better if he didn't have these weird, fucked up videos in the background, it would've been much better if it was just him and the band. Also, he had these dumb blow up props on the stage, but they weren't as bad as the videos lol. Anyways, it was still a good show. Then we went back to the hotel, I headed straight back to the room and watched some VH1 while mom and dad got some food, and then we all headed to bed.
And on the 11th, we got up super early, checked out of the hotel, and eventually boarded the plane from Vegas to Minneapolis. We got to Minneapolis at around 9 or 10 and after finding out the flight to Winnipeg was delayed a little we ate at the food court there, took some pics, and then waited like another hour or so for the plane, and then boarded it and flew back to Winnipeg. We got back at around 4/4:30ish I think and then waited for Frank to come get us, and then we finally got home at around 5:30/6ish and then I just chilled for the rest of the night.
Well not much great has happened since lol. Let's see I got right back into school...well sort of. I've tried to study hardcore like before I left, but I just can't seem to get into the real groove of it again. I've been doing okay, but not great like I thought I would, when it comes to grades. I got a D on my first psych test, and a C+ and both my criminal careers test and assignment. I aslo did three more assignments within one day and recently handed them all in. Also, I crammed for my criminal law and procedure class and did the test on Monday, I think I did okay. So this weekend I'm gonna try to get back into it since I have 3 exams...well technically 4, since my psych one is split into two halves, this coming week.
This past weekend I chilled on Friday, then on Saturday I studied for a bit and then went to Tavern United with Natalia, Izzy, Sheila, and Megan and ate some food, I gave presents from Vegas to Izzy, Keri, and Natalia. Then everyone except for Natalia headed out to Silverados where Keri's asshole of an ex-boyfriend ended up being, so that sort of ruined the mood, but all in all we still had fun. Sunday I just procrastinated and then worked hard core on my psych assignment all day long, that's about it.
I decided just to go to school for one more year and also do a smaller courseload next year too. I'm only gonna take 6 courses; I'm thinking this will help give me more time to study and focus on my classes since I won't have such a workload like these previous years. I also hope that this jobs for students site from the U of M has summer jobs offered in the criminal justice field so I can work there and hopefully be able to establish some connections so I will be able to get a job after I graduate. And if this site doesn't have that, I'll find a job on the site close to it, maybe something more sociologically based. If this doesn't work out, then I'll volunteer during the school year, and hopefully during the summer before my last year.
My brain is seeping through my ears right now. I just wanna quit school already. I also feel quit lonely. As usual. Everybody's lives seem to be awesome and mine just sucks. I think this city is just depressing me, I need to move! I still think about Bryan which is sad, but I guess it's hard not to now that he comes online every so often and also when one of your best friends tells you that (after talking to him) he's apparently had a girlfriend for the last 8 or 9 months or so which means that at the time we...well you know...made that mistake...he was dating her. Not only that, but she tells me while he's been seeing this girl he told her and another friend of ours that he had feelings for the both of them. And ontop of that he also asked me to come over and "play" with him back in March just a little while afte I had started r talking to him again, which means that he was with his girlfriend for 3 months by that time! Can you believe that? What an asshole!!! In some ways I'm glad I didn't ever go out with him because who knows what he would have done to me behind my back! I wish I at least would've have one opporutnity to date him...but maybe it's for the best that we never did, and maybe it's for the best that we don't talk anymore. I feel sorry for his girlfriend. Jen, I have to admit, you were the only one that was right, HE IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE! Why didn't I listen?? I need to get over it already! Fuck, I'm being an idiot. What's worse is that I'm having an even harder time sleeping these days, I stay up til like three in the morning now. I don't know why I can't sleep! It's pissing me off! And also, that whole losing weight and getting back into shape idea just flew out the window with the rest of my brain! I mean I still take the stairs instead of the elevator to go to class and I walk far distances from some of my classes, but that's about it. I don't exercise at home, I eat lots of sugar now, I haven't gained a lot weight back, thank God, but fuck, I can't keep up with anything! Fuck I got to take the initiative one of these days! And I mean an initiative towards anything! I NEED A LIFE!
Anyways, that felf good lol! I need to get studying though! Tootles
