feagalaxia, you're GENIUS. The highway M4-0 made me crack up, and Pep's head is the best obstacle ever! I saw people holding the banner saying something about Alcorcon during the match xD I couldn't help laughing! I can so imagine Alves laughing or dancing over the news, and I noticed Bojan flashed a smile when the reporter asked him about RM (That's the only words I could understand).
What were Bojan and Alves Pique doing inside!?!? You made my dirty mind explode. I have this stupid question. Do they leave there respectively? I mean, when they play home, does each player use their own car to get the studium?
As for Xavi, hahahaha I know he sometimes breaks the dress code(?) and I heard that he liked reading gossip magazines. Casillas/Xavi is absolutely lovely :-) As a big fan of Xavi, I would never miss any opportunity to pair him with someone who is a good looking YOUNG player like Gourcuff LOL. You know, he praised Xavi a lot. After reading the article I thought "Join us, Yoann! He needs you because he is so lonely here!" LOL
I would be willing to become a rat just to sneak into Camp Nou. If there are any interesting stories in the book, and you find something pervy when you go to the studium, please let me know
Thanks! Yes, I think they still go to the Stadium in their own cars, they always have, but you never know with Pep... I had a friend once who's father had acces to the Llotga and a parking place at the Camp Nou, she used to get autographs and photos with the players there. She also told me they put samba music in their cars and danced! That was Rivaldo's time, but I can imagine some of the actual players doing the same (again: Alves!)
I don't know if you've heard yet, but Messi said he'd exchange all the titles he won with his Club for the World Cup with Argentina (INDIGNATION!). He also said if they hadn't qualified for the tournament he would have gotten shot at the plaza de mayo. Maybe he's dissapointed they didn't and he's trying to get shot in Barcelona now?
Fortunately, Casillas has praised the life and doings of Xavi once again, so I'm happy. His reactions make me smile, really, Xavi has been my favourite player for more than 10 years, and when someone tells me how good he is now, I tend to get a bit angry (or bitter). As Casillas said about Maradona 'it's very easy to jump on the wagon of saying Xavi is the best now. He's always been the best player of Barcelona for me'.
Mmm... I don't know for how long you've been following him, but just in case: Xavi got into the first team by Van Gaal, who wasn't loved at all in Barcelona. He was in the same position as Pep, and the press insisted they couldn't play together, so a lot of people started saying Xavi wasn't good enough. Then Iniesta appeared, and they said he was the one called to become Pep's succesor, so maybe Xavi wasn't necessary for Barça. Pep left, and the directives got Deco, and again, Deco or Xavi? Xavi or Iniesta? I swear no player has been as questioned as Xavi has... and then, the foreign press started praising Xavi, they won the Eurocup, and suddenly everyone says they've always thought Xavi is genius. Well, f*ck them.
Anyway... I can't recall any other two players from Barça and Madrid who've truly been friends (or more, KYA!), they've known each other since the junior national team, and Casillas has used every single chance he ever had to, as we say, 'sing a thousand wonders' about Xavi. And of course, I just saw a picture of them, and Xavi's head kind of leans towards Iker, so I'm totally fangirling!!!
But that could also be because my emotions are very high right now, I so want to kick Messi in the face!
Sorry for my poor English:pvelvet_toucherNovember 15 2009, 20:41:21 UTC
Wow, why didn't you ask her to take you to a parking place at the time :-) I heard that under Pep's direction they don't practice in Camp nou anymore and the training is not open to the public.
I read what Messi said before the Spain vs Argentine match, and yes I was a bit disappointed as well. but you know, the criticism to him has been harsh and some people doubt his contribution to the national team, so I think he needs to say it just to silence them, and the titles he got in Barca are already the past. If he said that playing for Argentine was more important than playing for Barca, I would feel like :S I won't stop you if you want to kick him in the face LOL
Ah I have the same feeling about Xavi. Every time someone tells me how great player Iniesta became, I thought, "oh, don't skip Xavi". Don't get me wrong, I love Iniesta, but it's unfair if he can't draw attention because of his humbleness. I had noticed that Xavi *suddenly* became the best midfield player in the world after they won the Eurocup haha (people may start taking his age into account) but I didn't know that he had been questioned that long. I have been watching Barca as a general football fan, I remember the time Pep, Rivaldo, Luis Enique or Romario played but didn't follow them like I do now, so my knowledge about Barca are mostly from books and articles, not from my memories (love reading history books, btw. 'brilliant orange' I read a while ago was brilliant. It's not about Barca but Netherlands, Clyff and total football). Sadly I barely know about Van Gaal's team because I didn't watch football at all at the time (I've lived without cable TV for years, I was a poor student). So..I would appreciate it if you would share your info with me;-)
Casillas has used every single chance he ever had to, as we say, 'sing a thousand wonders' about Xavi
Awwww, they are so sweet:-) Their love for each other are beyond rivalry. I think I'm the only person on the earth who don't feel anything toward Iker, but if he is the man who deserves Xavi, I should love him too lol. What do you thing Xavi/Raul? I know they're good friends too.
my English isn't better! XDfeagalaxiaNovember 16 2009, 17:34:17 UTC
I asked, but they only had two seats, one for daddy, one for her (I told her I wouldn't mind going with her father XD). Practices are currently held at the Ciutat Esportiva in Sant Joan D'Espi (about 20km from Barcelona) at closed doors, so the only way to get images of the players is through Barça TV and Barça's website. We're so used to see them in their sports gear that one day they parked outside and the press did galleries of them dressed as 'civilians'! XD
I've had the time to calm down since friday, so I'm not as angry with Messi anymore (though I still want to throw the three cups at his head... CLONG! CLONG! CLONG!). We know south-americans, especially those from Argentina and Brazil, only play with their clubs because they can't play for the national team the whole year, so I don't know why we're so surprised. I used to live in another country, and for my experience, there are two kinds of inmigrants: those who try to mend with the new place and mingle with the people there (like Iniesta, for example), and those who barricade themselves between other inmigrants from their own country, who import food and only go to restaurants from their own culture. It's sad, but I think the Messis are of the second kind. I know he's a usual customer at La Pampa, an Argentinan (?) restaurant.
I'll try to find an interview Xavi gave some time ago where they asked him about his sudden popularity and translate it for you, I think you'll like it.
It's funny you say you don't feel anything towards Iker, because I was talking with my mother the other day (football is a women thing in my family), and I remembered why I started liking him (and disliking Raul). See, I spent two years in a nun's residence for students when I first came to Barcelona, and it happened to be right in front of the hotel were some of the first division teams came to concentrate before their matches against Barça and Espanyol. The Real Madrid was one of them. Now, what happens when you put a bunch of hormonal guys in their twenties with no option to leave their rooms (unless they want to get slaughtered)(it was the year of Figo's betrayal) and a girls only dorm facing window to window? Well, first, the girls gather in a diminutive balcony. Then the guys look out of the window and see them. And then... Ivan Campo gets in front of the window and takes of his shirt (ugly face, very nice torso), Ivan Helguera puts on the gay-est shirt I've ever seen and starts dancing techno with his roommate... Guti (who else?), I don't know which one of them flashed us with his arse (I have a feeling it was Guti too...), and all along, while all the others pranced around and fished for compliments, Iker shily peeked out of the window now and then, looking half-way amused half-way terrified of playing in the Camp Nou the next day (we're the same age, so he was 18 back then). Looking back, that could also be because we kept screaming things like "You're great!" "You're cute!" "We hope you don't get scored at more than three times!" "BARÇA!" "You're so cute!" "We'll kick your ass!".
Raul's attitude was more like 'oh, look, a bunch of plebeyans'. As far as I know, he's some kind of mormon with a sumise wife and ten thousand kids, kinda creepy. I don't know if they're really friends with Xavi, they were supposed to say so when they were in the national team together, but, well... look at the Real Madrid: Raul and Guti are leaders in the locker room, and Casillas seems to keep apart from them (he and Guti argued in the middle of a match not so long ago). If you add to this that when Raul and Guti were left out of the Spanish team their new leaders became Iker and Xavi, who had kept a low profile up to that point, I'd say their friendship with the other two was just for show.
Mmm... that was some intense rambling...
(actually, it was so long LJ made me edit the comment^^*)
Ugh. I'm feeling frustrated with the press here. We were talking about Xavi not being valued enough, well, guess who's their new target? Yeah: Bojan. The press is conducting a campaign to buy Robinho and Cesc Fabregas. They insist we don't have anyone to play on the left wing (Henry, Pedro, Bojan, Iniesta, Gai Assulin...), and that Pep wants Robinho (when actually, Pep said at the begining of the Liga he was planning to use Titi and Bojan for that position, and said recently he didn't ask for anyone for the winter market); and they insist Cesc is the very best and is called to become Xavi's successor, which is bullshit, because even if they're both technical midfielders, they're not of the same kind. Cesc is more like Gerard used to be, or Pep, if you want to point really high. In any case, he's not good enough to substitute Xavi or Iniesta. I'd rather wait and see how Jonathan Dos Santos will turn out, he looks very good. The funny thing is that if you read the things people are commenting on their website, 90% or more are against Robinho, Cesc keeps loosing popularity everyday, almost no-one wants to sell Toure, Bojan is getting back a lot of supporters (whom he'd lost during the last months), and the most repeated name is... Silva! I don't know if they're trying to manipulate us to get this result or if they're really stupid XD
I think I'll leave it here, my messages are getting longer everyday! when I think of the time you must spend to write an answer, when you could be drawing pornish Bollo's... Shame on me! (I'm actually waiting for the day you'll draw Silva - any position, any partner XD)
Re: my English isn't better! XDvelvet_toucherNovember 19 2009, 02:12:47 UTC
There are actually people who keep to themselves. When I traveled to France, I met someone who always complains about food (no matter how good it is) and put soy sauce on everything.*face palm* They are not always exclusive or unfriendly to strangers, but it's sad to see someone like them. Xavi used to say Messi is a bit introverted, and yes I check his blog everyday and I don't remember the last time he mentioned his friends. The only people whom he writes about there are his family, particularly his brother (and football-related people). It seems like he still lives in the small Argentine. I love him and his way of life, but he is just a football kid after all
Iniesta is not a good example here because he is Spanish too! XDXD (but I know what you were trying to say;-))
Omg you know Real Madrid's great secret! And in your head, You link Guti to every single bad thing they did. XD Like soyial said, Your story is too interesting not to share with my friends. Thank you for sharing it with me sweetheart <3 haha Raul, he was definitely one of plebeians when he played in Atletico madrid youth
While Guti and Raul were behaving like kings, Do you think that Catalan boys have no ambition or loyalty for the national team?
*Sighs* Why do we need Robinho? He is a good player but he could be a trouble maker too. I remember that he hold press conference just before the opening of the season last year, and some people including Cesc criticized him for his attitude. I sometimes think, "hey Zlatan you should shut up" but I know Zlatan is clever as both a player and person, but Robinho? No way!
The rumor of swapping Yaya and Bojan for Cesc is ridiculous. Some say Bojan won't fit our system and I know he grew up as a pure #9 type centre forward but people should be patient and give him chances because he's 19, because we are Barca. Is Cesc loosing popularity? I don't believe the article that Cesc said he didn't mind joining RM, but I have to admit my temperature raised up when I read it, hehe. If he joined RM it would be a worst nightmare for Barca fans and I would hate him with passion :-P I thought Bojan was still popular because I found that 20 of 46 pictures of the Copa del ray match on the gallery in Sport were Bojan-related lol. But yes I start thinking that sending him on loan before loosing supports from cule is not a bad idea..
I should stop writing here xD It's time to draw pornish Bollo's. I have been trying to draw Sliva (with Villa) but always ended up drawing Bojanito.
Re: my English isn't better! XDfeagalaxiaNovember 20 2009, 22:01:50 UTC
Messi has a blog? I didn't know! Can you post a link? I knew Iniesta has one, I read it sometimes, though he's not the most exciting person I've seen *sarcasm*
You made me laugh with your Iniesta comment, that goes to prove how identified with Spain we feel here XD
Actually, I think that the fact that he comes from another part of Spain makes it more 'valuable' that he integrated so much, it's very easy to find people from the rest of the country here, so many of them keep to their small guettos and don't even try to learn catalan...
Guti... I'm pretty sure he was the one to flash his arse, I wish I had kept contact with my friends from the nun's residence so they could confirm!! If you want to take a look to the image Guti has here though, put the words 'Crackovia Guti' on youtube, you won't understand because it's spanish, but you'll get the general idea. The really funny thing is that reality always surpasses fiction! XD
About the catalans and the national team... I don't know, really. It's hard to believe that someone like Puyol, who celebrated his goal to RM kissing the senyera (the catalan flag) can feel very patriot towards Spain, but that doesn't mean they don't want to defend their colors. It's like foreign footballers who end up feeling the colors of their clubs, the love they are receiving from the supporters makes that. It would be inhuman not to feel anything when a whole stadium is cheering for you. I don't know, really. Almost everyone here is catalanist, but very few are truly independentists, it's more like a reaction to what we get from the rest of the country. We're like a U2 song... 'I can't live, with or without you'.
Robinho... I'm so sick of the guy. The thing I'm worried about is what he could do in the locker room. We know he's trouble, and I don't care if the press tries to convince us that a coach like Guardiola can make him change, Pep is not a psychologist. Nor a babysitter. I've even read some people reminding everyone how when Ronnie and Deco where in BCN and Messi hanged out with them, he used to have 'muscular problems', implying those were hangovers. I prefer to believe that they were just regular injuries, but still, I'm not risking a Robinho near him. Just in case.
Cesc is a difficult case. He's from La Masia, and many would like him back, BUT: paying 50 million is to much, we don't know if he could be a regular with our system, he flirted with RM, and mostly, we just think he should finish his contract with Arsenal and come for free in two years. Honestly, if he ends up playing with RM, that's his problem.
Re: my English isn't better! XDfeagalaxiaNovember 20 2009, 22:02:19 UTC
(aaaaaaand the second part...)
I don't know why Bojan is criticized, really. I know there's a very popular guy from the radio who thinks he sucks, and I guess his followers dumbly repeat his words, because otherwise I don't know what they can hold against the guy who has the best goal per minute played average of the team (10 min better than Messi). I don't know why they listen to that guy, really, he also believes Marquez is the best of the best, when he's quite obviously at the end of his career. Same goes for Titi, even if, contrarly to Marquez, I don't want him to leave the team. I think his presence gives us a certain guarantee and at the same time it gives a chance to the younger players to earn a regular spot (like Bojan and Pedro).
We'll see tomorrow, anyway. Zlatan is injured, and Bojan has very good memories of At. Bilbao, so I'm kind off hopping he'll get to play the 90min tomorrow. Pep's words today: "It's always Bojan's hour, whether he plays tomorrow or not, or he plays more or less. He's 19, and he has a wonderful future to keep learning and walking forward". So, there. GO BOJAN, SHUT THEIR UGLY MOUTHS! *dresses up as cheerleader* GO BOJAN, GO GO GO!!! (I can't believe there are 25% of people who'd sell him!!!)
I'd LOVE to see Silva on bottom!!!! (maybe I should take off the cheerleading garnment, I think it's affecting me XDD) The latest news are that Florentino has him tied up to play on RM next year, I'm hoping it's another big fat lie, they'd ruin him!!! And think about what he could do with Pep and Bojan!!!! *** My brain collapsed with this last image XDDD (really, I spent a full minute staring blankly at the screen... should I worry?). Villa/Sliva is fine too, though. I just really, really, REALLY want to see Silva with his legs over his head XDDD
I've got the day free tomorrow, so I'll translate the interview and see if I can find something else. I haven't had the time to focus much on Barça this last three days, I'm suffering from withdrawal!
I'm off to listen to the radio... let's see what they come up with today. The program is fine, really, even if they do have that one stupid arsehole of a reporter who keeps saying Bojan sucks.
Re: my English isn't better! XDsoyialNovember 21 2009, 00:27:14 UTC
oh man thats so mean that he spreads his opinion about bojan like that over the radio :(
you can argue that barca has to be a team of 22 superstars like rm tries to do it in my opinion you always need a healthy mix of youth players and veterans, and some superstars who carry most of the weight and pressure!
in the shadow of henry messi zlatan etc bojan can grow and develop his potential, hes a natural goalscorer as one can see from his ~1000 youth team goals. he maybe just needs abit more pace and trickery in 1v1 situations and more composure. but remember: hes 19! hes way before his prime which is about 27 with footballers. even if he remains a benchplayer till hes 23-24 its totally normal.
maybe a loanout to england or germany would toughen him up a little mentally and physically, because the most important thing is playing time and more playing time to develop. i imagine a year at arsenal would do wonders for bojan!
Re: my English isn't better! XDvelvet_toucherNovember 23 2009, 16:25:37 UTC
Hey, Sorry for the late repry! I can't type much now because I have a probrem with my body:'-( My right breast and armpit hurt, and I can't use my right arm and fingers due to this muscular pain (I went to the hospital and had a checkup but no abnormalities were found yet). I will come back here later
Re: my English isn't better! XDfeagalaxiaNovember 28 2009, 11:58:53 UTC
Hi! I'm sorry I didn't say anything before, I've been kind of busy (I've started translating the interview, by the way, I'm halfway through). I hope you're feeling better, and... here's a little something to keep you happy XD
Re: my English isn't better! XDvelvet_toucherDecember 9 2009, 09:56:05 UTC
I'm too late but just let me say some things:-)
Messi writes his blog in Japanese (well, this is weird situation), they had used to announce they would translate it into other languages but haven't done yet >:-( At least he seems enjoy doing it. I remember that he wrote it in the key moments last season. Right after the 2nd leg against Chelsea, he wrote, "We did!! can't explain how I'm feeling now!" and several hours later, "I'm writing this again. I was too excited to sleep last night so I woke up early. I took a walk and was thinking about our fans while looking around Barcelona city, how much they suffered last night". He is so sweet, isn't he? ;-)
Almost everyone here is catalanist, but very few are truly independentists I'm curious whether Xavi,Puyol and Pique would quit the Spanish national team to play for Catalan if FIFA accepted their independence (it probably won't happen, though). I just can't imagine of Xavi playing against Iniesta, haha.
Ummm...I'm frustrated by Bojan's situation. I know another Bojan basher, he is a blog master and his blog is quite popular for English speakers. The guy always bushes him and rates him poorly, even when Bojan scored two (in the CDR match), he rated him 5! I really hope that Bojan makes them shut up! I know we must be patient, but does Pep still trust/believe him? will Pep give him chances while the other good young wingers/strikers like Gai, Rochina(sp?) are waiting behinde him? These inner voices make me anxious..
Besides, the rumor of joining Arsenal popped up again. >:-(
Oh, tell me what Silva could do between Pep and Bojan! XDXD It's far better for me that Silva and Villa leave their club together for ManU (if Valencia need money). Ok, I will draw Silva with Villa this time because some told me they also wanted to see Silva with Villa, but I added Silva/Pep/Bojan to my nasty to-do list;-)
Btw, I have some comic plots about Barca players, some of them are not porn, and I think I might need some help from a Barca fan have lots of knowledge and information about the club and players. I would appreciate it if you would help me:-)
I saw people holding the banner saying something about Alcorcon during the match xD I couldn't help laughing!
I can so imagine Alves laughing or dancing over the news, and I noticed Bojan flashed a smile when the reporter asked him about RM (That's the only words I could understand).

If he joined RM it would be a worst nightmare for Barca fans and I would hate him with passion :-P
I thought Bojan was still popular because I found that 20 of 46 pictures of the Copa del ray match on the gallery in Sport were Bojan-related lol. But yes I start thinking that sending him on loan before loosing supports from cule is not a bad idea..
I should stop writing here xD It's time to draw pornish Bollo's. I have been trying to draw Sliva (with Villa) but always ended up drawing Bojanito.
Do you mind if I draw Silva on bottom? ;-)

(this is getting ridiculous, to long again!!!)

The program is fine, really, even if they do have that one stupid arsehole of a reporter who keeps saying Bojan sucks.

you can argue that barca has to be a team of 22 superstars like rm tries to do it in my opinion you always need a healthy mix of youth players and veterans, and some superstars who carry most of the weight and pressure!
in the shadow of henry messi zlatan etc bojan can grow and develop his potential, hes a natural goalscorer as one can see from his ~1000 youth team goals. he maybe just needs abit more pace and trickery in 1v1 situations and more composure. but remember: hes 19! hes way before his prime which is about 27 with footballers. even if he remains a benchplayer till hes 23-24 its totally normal.
maybe a loanout to england or germany would toughen him up a little mentally and physically, because the most important thing is playing time and more playing time to develop. i imagine a year at arsenal would do wonders for bojan!

I still have pain and try to avoid to use my right arm. It's sad that I couldn't fix it untill El Clasico, but Messi and Zlatan will be fit!
Thanks for this picture. See ya later

Messi writes his blog in Japanese (well, this is weird situation), they had used to announce they would translate it into other languages but haven't done yet >:-(
At least he seems enjoy doing it. He is so sweet, isn't he? ;-)
Just in case you're curious, Here is the blog;

Almost everyone here is catalanist, but very few are truly independentists
I'm curious whether Xavi,Puyol and Pique would quit the Spanish national team to play for Catalan if FIFA accepted their independence (it probably won't happen, though).
