It was the Grey Panthers, wasn't it? that message board with the "mature" fans of LotR. oh man. And remember how after everyone found out you and I were in our teens, they all talked to us less? or did I imagine that?

Yeah that was it. That happened to me two or three times back in the day - people on some site getting pissy because I was younger than they thought - so it's a distinct possibility that was one of those times.

I kind of miss the LotR fandom though, back in the days when the movies were still coming out and everyone was super excited about everything. I feel nerdy for saying that.

I miss it too. I keep hearing whispers about a Hobbit movie though so maybe whenever that plays out everyone will get excited about it all again. I'm seriously thinking about having a marathon tomorrow with the DVDs. I need some hobbits and such in my life.
