Okay, so we're reading The Awakening by Kate Chopin in English (which I like, ha!
snugduff lolol) & on the back, she's compared to D.H.Lawrence; I joked to my teacher that we probably wouldn't be reading Lady Chatterley's Lover in class & she laughed & kindof blushed & said Definitely not, but it's a hot book. (her exact words lol).  I'd heard of it & that it was good, but I'd never read it.

So I looked it up online & have read the first 4 chapters (out of 19) & hot damn, it is hot & it is good. I really like it; it's interesting, I like the characters (so far) & the sex is not just for the sake of sex; it's almost...poetic? And the parts I've read were, yes, ok, there for the whole sex thing, but also for character development & finding the characters through their sexual selves & their thoughts on sex.

Really fascinating so far. How many of you lot have read it?

EDIT that has absolutely nothing to do with this post:  Merlin comes to NBC in the fall, with Tony Head as Uther Pendragon . *SQUEEEEE*
