Chasing. Actual physical chasing, ducking and weaving, hiding, climbing fences, driving in random directions, pleading, pandering, making false promises with the idea of buying time until an opening comes up and the chase resumes again. All the while someone counters all the moves, chases him, and then pounces.
And then there's porn.
I swear if I could find a fic (that wasn't written by myself) that was all delicious chase, I'd be a very happy person. Found a fic in another fandom today that promised a nice chase, but after the first chapter it became clear that the fighting spirit was a fluke, and the main character's normal modus operandi is to lie back like a deboned fish and take whatever comes.
