I, on the other hand, adore Lovecraft, tentacle sex, aphrodesiacs, and Sherlock being both defiant and wanton. I love the build-up, the creepy constant flickering of horror out of the corner of Sherlock's eye, the feeling of inevitability that's such a halmark of Lovecraft's stories. And then the sex was astonishingly hot and creepy and awesome all at the same time. I adored Shub-Niggurath catching more flies with honey, making Sherlock want to break his vow, with the gleefully terrifying promise that she would be back, over and over again, to get her money's worth. Sherlock should know better than to sass an eldritch horror!

(If you ever decide to continue, I would read it would great relish!)

I like lovecraft, too! He had a way with being just vague enough to be creepy as fuck.

I don't really have any ideas for furthering this, but if anyone else wants to take up the ball and run, I'm always for more tentacles.

First tentacle fic, but I'd always suspected that I would love them because I thought the notions of sex-pollen and tentacles wrapped sex very amusing, quite gleeful in fact. But oh mine, this actually got me quite hot and bothered, in a creepy yet delicious way. Now I believe plant-sex beats all forms of other sex, so much stimuli! Besides, I am also very fond of octopus XD.

Something about tentacles: you can't take them too seriously, and yet the concept of being bound and molested all over at once is pretty irresistible.
