*sobs pitfully, runs into bedroom to get pillow to sob into, pokes at screen, sobs some more, has to run away from computer to sob in kitchen, gets snorts and glares from girlfriend, finally sits back down and reads Ed's happy ending one more time*

Personally, I'm doing the happy dance. I'm done I'm done I'm done! And judging from the comments, I managed keep the whole thing as a coherent unified whole despite the fact that I wrote it in serial format rather than finishing the whole thing and then editing it to keep it well paced.

Thank you! I had a hard time with this chapter because I was worried I'd left something important out, and I was afraid of starting up unnecessary threads, and in general since it's the last chapter, I wanted it to have an impact rather than just being ho-hum, boring.

Yea! I'm done! More or less.

It sort of echoes the first chapter in that it collapses time a lot to cover a lot of ground. I thought that it might have a bookendy feel to it.

aww that was the sweetest ending i could have hoped for. i liked how you tied up all the loose ends. Amazing fic...one that I shall miss. Much love to it. Great job.

But no, after 36 chapters, I think that this fic is quite long enough.
