Oh, man, inappropriate icon is inappropriate, but I desperately loved this story. Just, like, I have a wretched crush on it. If you would be willing to let me podfic it, I would love to.

Oh my god, I don't how how, but I managed to be completely freaked out about Mycroft having John over and over and then wibbling at the cuteness of John being adorable and asking to stay with Sherlock in two seconds flat.

And the ending! When I realized that John actually murdered Mycroft, I was aghast! I didn't expect it at all, or that Sherlock had hired John as an assassin, but in retrospect it made so much sense. It was kind of like watching the end of The Sixth Sense and realizing how everything comes together.

Awesomely awesome!

This Mycroft needed murdering. He really did.

I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you! When John got kidnapped by Mycroft and just stood there, not knowing who he was, and just glared him down -- that's the feeling I was hoping to get here.

Dark!Mycroft gives John a reason to be a superBAMF.

Weirdly enough I don't find gore to be that scary. Yucky, yes, but not scary. I like psychological horror. And I think this has that, even though so much of the fic was spent in the mind of a psychopath who was quite content with the way things were going. Hmm.
