Actually, before I start beta-ing any of these.... Do you still need a beta? If so, do you want the beta work done via comments or should I email them to you?
YEA YEA YEA, oh THANK YOU! I was hoping SOMEONE would help me... I was beginning to think I'd have to do this all myself, and if I didn't do such a great job the first time... well.
Email would actually be better, if you could. My email address is bwstroup@comcast.net. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
So far we've only watched the first two. LOVED THEM. Oooh so happy! But TRUST ME we will get to the rest. My husband wants to watch them too but he had an early deadline this week due to the holiday, so it didn't happen.
That and "Lost" had a 2 hour season finalle. Whoo hoo. Love that show.
I know, it took forever- but dammit, there was a -reason-. Because this is a phenominal start to what looks to be an -epic- fic, I know there are 26 chapters out there, promising me wonderful things, and I have to work tonight. -_-;;
The opening scenes are -amazing-, btw. I love the pov changes, Winry's section especially. So in character and wonderful. ^__^
I'm glad you started reading it. I know it's daunting. HELL it's a BOOK! A real honest to goodness novel. But i look forward to seeing what you think of it.
Let me preface this with the fact that I did have this story highly recommended to me and I came into it with pretty high expectations. I can recognize your talent and God but there’s a lot of potential here. So I’m going to offer some constructive criticism.
I was pretty displeased with the way you handled Al’s restoration. It seemed like a magic fix - even though the stone Ed and Al have was imperfect, Ed managed to retrieve Al from beyond the Gate without losing anything in return? Where was the equivalent exchange? The Stone was imperfect, yes, so some laws of alchemy must still be obeyed. Ed and Al had to lose something or else the transmutation was a bust. You can’t cheat Truth or Alchemy. And how did they come across this imperfect Stone? Was it a solidified drop of red water? How could Ed bring himself to touch something like that after his experiences in Lab Five? Owing to Ed’s rampant idealism, even in the face of his brother’s restoration - and we know that it even prevents him from performing the transmutation to produce

Heh. I appreciate the familiarity but m'name's not 'Giggles'.
That's the thing. You cheated Al. And the giant timejumping you've done, without giving the readership a time marker, is really jarring. There are a lot of givens you expect us to already understand but we really don't. Skipping over all that stuff with only touching upon some parts of it can be done, but this is clinical and leaves me cold. I don't even know how far you've jumped until I got you to tell me in your response

You know its REALLY dumb of me to assume everyone is female, since my own HUSBAND is writing a fanfic web comic. He's very much a guy.

Well, only 33 more chapters to go.

And it's probably going to be 36 or 37 chapters when it is finished. Which will be like, maybe tomorrow.

Perhaps this isn't the fic for you. Happy fic hunting to you, there are many more out there that stick closer to canon and don't collapse time.
