Might as well finish the set.

So I decided to do a picture of George, too.

So, what I did differently this time around. The main thing is that I tried a less static pose. You wanted to look up his nose right? No? Oh well. My mom (yeah, I showed her the picture, I didn't tell her who he was.) thinks he looks agonized, but I think he just looks like he's peering intently at something. Or maybe he has a "You gotta be fucking kidding me" expression, which actually sort of fits him.

I also played around with a reflective layer, in this case it's his shirt being reflected back upwards. For the hair, I tried something new. I used the whole paint can thing again that worked, but rather than just smudging the dickens out of it, I smudged with a smaller tool along the strands of hairs. I think it came out more satisfactory. I had to mess around quite a bit with the jaw line and move one of the eyes upward because my line art sucks like woah. I think it's okay now. The ear is still weird, but maybe a bit better. I need to practice ears.

I do think I've improved with this picture, though I'm not sure I can put my finger on quite how.

Anyway. It was fun again.
