Decided to tackle Pregnant!Riza. It's kind of nice writing from the female point of view for once. I have NO idea where in the scheme of things this would fall, but if Riza ever got pregnant, I figured this would be one of her challenges ( Read more... )

Ah, someone who actually KNOWS what they're writing about! *is always wary of writing pregnancy fics for that reason*

(Er, one thing. A request if you would. Usually we don't use fake cuts. We post the fics to the comm themselves for archiving purposes.)

LOL! Of course I have. That's what I've been reading through for a while.

Ack, it's hard to explain, I have this perverse inability to recognise my own efforts no matter what anyone says on the subject. Sometimes it comes out in bizzare, inexplicable comments like this one. Whenever anyone says they like my stuff my first reaction is "what the hell for." But I've gotten pretty good at suppressing that response.

As for that response, I think about 80% of writers feel that way. And its a good idea to repress that response. You tend to get hit other wise. *has been hit, and has hit-ed*

Right. So archiving is where we link the post on the comm into the archives, with title and author. EVERY HoS work (save trolling and REALLY OOC stuff- we jump on those) goes in an archive. Kyt's the main archiver at the moment, though the person who set up the current system is yours truely.

Dang, woman. That sounds like a lot of work. Anything I can do to make your life easier?

By the way, my idea was to do a series of these ficlets going through her pregnancy, detailing the sheer horror JOY of being pregnant.

As long as you use the format, that helps a lot. (Though generally main stories get their section next to them too. In your case Pregnant. ^^;;; Don't worry about that too much though, we can pick that one up easily enough).

It's not NEARLY as bad as it used to be. Trust me, back in the good old days a month or two ago, we have a good 14+ fics on anniverseries and about 5 or so a week. Now we're lucky if we hit 5 a week. Tis a sad thing. (I actually joined on the first day of lent so I did a fic for every day up till easter. Was fun. Crazy, but fun. Have spread out since then.)

Sounds great! Really, no cannon means you can do just about anything, as long as its reasonably IC.

Am totally adding to my reasons never to get pregnant. XDDDD

Nah, not a problem Pregnant fics are REALLY easy to place. Its some of the others that are tricky.

Herm, maybe I should write ficlets on the other side of things as well, how nice it is to be pregnant. It's not as funny, but then I don't want to drive the smexer's not to reproduce.
