This was a seriously long chapter. I've never done one this long. Next one will probably be shorter.

that was awesome. you completely own at plot. i cant even imagine the horror and paranoia that would come from something like that...

but i think my favorite part was the backstory with roy and archer. it always bothered me that roy and his crew were always just kind of... sitting around. what the hell did they do? all that paperwork he is supposidly inundated with for what!?

drove me nuts.

Yeah I think I might have broke Hughes a bit. Somehow I don't think he'll be as trusting a guy for the next few chapters.

Yes! I was really bothered by Roy's lack of job description. Hughes' job description was awfully nebulous as well. Is he security, is he investigations? So from here on out Roy's Job Description is: commanding and assigning all state alchemists in his region, and investigating the use and misuse of alchemy by civilians especially against military personel, and or alchemic attacks on "the integrety of the Amestris Nation". Hughes is a more general civilian/military investigations as well as internal affairs. When it comes to Alchemy, Roy's job and Hughes job somewhat overlap.

I'm glad you think this has sufficiant detail. Sometimes I wonder that I don't put enough in. But yes, poor Hughes. I'm rather rotten to him.

It definately has. The background stories were good also.
But you do have the HughesxRoy, which makes up for it =3

Yeah, Hughes and Roy had a rather sweet wartime romance that kinda fizzled to friendship once the adrenaline wore off.
