I've been obsessed with VG since 1999 and it's impossible to find fellow fans! Too bad more fans can't get involved here. Hell, I can talk about this film 24/7--why can't others?! BTW, you have the best AVIs in the known universe! Hang in there and keep up the good work!

Welcome - it is so awesome to see some life in this community again, so thanks for posting! I have recently gotten more obsessed with this movie than ever, despite not having seen it in a while, and have so many fanfic ideas in my head it's just ridiculous - so I am planning on doing my bit to liven up the fandom too, lol.

Hey Wild Huntress I will SQUEE loud and clear and obsessively 24/7 over this movie with anybody who is willing!!!! Which would be infinitely more fun than SQUEEING 24/7 by myself--which is what I pretty much do....So PLEASE I'm DYING to majorly SQUEE with other VG fans!!!!! And I am desperate for some good fanfic. Most sites are gone and the ones that are still around I've pretty much gone through over the last many years. You write, I'll read!!!! And one other weird thing, when it's late at night I always spell Arthur's last name wrong! My apologies. A friend of mine used to joke and call him Martha Stewart (which totally pissed me off and has obviously STILL not left my brain!). So, I promise I'm not that stupid--just tired and a little brainwashed. But LET'S GET READY TO SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!

We should so message each other, then - I too have been dying to talk to people about this movie and have fallen way too out of touch with friends IRL and in fandom who'd be familiar with it. And thanks for encouraging me to write fic. I actually finished a piece yesterday, felt shy and was about to just not post it, but now I'm gathering up my courage to do so - so thanks! Lol.

Wow! We're pretty much in the same boat! The friends I used to have who were into it with me in the late '90s into the early 2000s have long forgotten about it and have turned into football and basketball freaks! I'm still trying to figure out how they could turn into such different people. I doubt there will ever be a time when I forget about this film. I usually watch it several times a year, but this time around I can't stop watching it or thinking about it. I've always been rather obsessed with it but jeez, nothing like I've been the last few months. It's so frustrating. Obviously there are a huge number of fans out there but it is sort of an underground cult following, and finding current fans who are still active in the communities is almost impossible. I can't believe I finally found someone else who feels the same way!! Yes--we most definitely need to talk more about it. It's impossible to talk to others who either have never seen it or have seen it but don't get it. So SQUEE and discuss we MUST! And definitely keep writing

Well, actually, I had gone a few years without watching this movie or thinking about it much myself - not forgetting, exactly, but just busy with other stuff (real life issues, career/family issues, etc). I pulled it out again and rewatched it for the first time in far too long in about February of this year, which has given way to five viewings since then so I'm getting really obsessed again, lol. But yes, the fandom has gotten too quiet around me, which is sad.

Hehe - thanks for the encouragement; my new piece has just been posted, and I hope to write more while the inspiration strike. I'm afraid that taking requests might be a bridge too far right now - but then I've actually been crazy enough to toy with the idea of trying to nudge a little fic fest or exchange into existence to celebrate this awesome movie, so who knows?

Man, this is like my Birthday, Christmas, Halloween, Easter (where plot bunnies come from I hear say...), the 4th of July and New Year's Eve all rolled into one big honkin' moment of grand awesomeness! I have yet to read it as it's getting late tonight so I will check it out first thing tomorrow morning! I'm just plain giddy! A brand spanking new VG fic! Guess I'll have great dreams tonight, thanks to you! And thanks for the kind words about me in your intro, I may have the enthusiasm, but you have the writing talents! And having a fic fest or exchange would be awesome! Maybe we hardcore fans can help revive interest in this incredible film! Thanks for writing the fic and sharing it with us! Can't wait to read it!
