On Wednesday morning, the Supreme Court made a decision that effectively eliminates core protections for women’s health.
The Court's ruling to uphold the Federal Abortion Ban - ignoring three decades of precedent requiring protections for women's health - is a setback for all Americans who believe politicians should not make our private, personal medical decisions!
The Federal Abortion Ban is now federal law that will come into effect within a few weeks and will be enforceable by President Bush's Department of Justice. Any doctor who violates this ban faces criminal penalties of up to two years in prison, even if he/she was acting to protect the woman's health.
