Events for the day!
OH! You'll never guess what happened to me today!
On my way from work at Melbourne central station i noticed a small gathering of shocked faces...
A lady with a guide dog, the poor lab had gotten its paw stuck in the escalator!! Everyone had crowded around and the dog was MAJORLY stressed! I managed to get rid of the crowd, got someone to get a connex worker and i had a look at the problem. Poor girl had lost HEAPS of blood :( Torn one of the pads right open on a back foot and torn the skin and back on one of the front ones. The lady was soooo distressed so i did my best to calm her down and got her to concentrate on keeping the dog as warm and quiet as possible. I had some tissues in my bag and one of the passerby's had a hankie, so i wrapped the foot up and secured it with poppy pins! Resourceful huh?
Called Lord Smith, they gave me a number to call for an animal ambo, waited 15 minutes and someone came to collect the lady and the injured lab. Bloody moron couldn't even wrap a bandage! I ended up doing it for him! Geez...
Anyway, i believe the dog is ok now. I'm going to call a bit later on to check on her. Amazed how much i remembered from school tho! I was glad that i could help! Everyone was just standing there worrying about what time the train was coming!!
