 [Waver had been less than pleased to find out that his job in this town was to be a waiter.  He had been a top student at the Clock Tower, a Master in the Holy Grail War, and now he was forced to take dinner orders and bus tables-- he was a bit out of his element here.  Not only that, but he didn't have the foggiest clue about how a restaurant

[Coming in after work she sits in the waiting area and watches, nodding with her usual deadpan look to anyone who looks at her but not really moving to get a seat]

[It wasn't actually his job to seat customers, but after seeing her just sit there for a while, Waver walked over.]

Hey, do you need something?

"I work at the cafe down the street. I just wanted to see what this place was like."

"Oh, all right."

Shrug. If that's what she wanted to do in her spare time, that was her business.

"Let me know if you need anything, then."

"May I make a suggestion?"

"If you want to, go ahead."

[hontobakabaka]

"If you drop all of the dishes in 3 hours, no one will win the betting pool I've been listening to. Or if you carry them with both hands instead of trying to one arm it. I can't do it one armed either if it helps."

"...there's a betting pool?"

"There is. Do you need some help? Miss Taiwan had to spend a lot of time teaching me and I get the feeling no one offered to teach you. I know on my case, waiting tables is a lot different than theoretical physics."
