Lullaby

Sep 22, 2008 09:25

In short: the weekend was amazing.

I sang. I danced. I loved. I was loved back. I was Reno Sweeny.

Thank you to all who made my rare foray into LARP so much more than worthwhile...there are so many of you, but these are the ones who stand out in my foggy Monday morning memory.

And the Tony goes to...(sorry, I'm LJ impaired this AM...cuts and usernames aren't working for me...)

ambug666, without whom there wouldn't have been a Lullaby of Broadway.  That took a lot of moxie, honey, and you came through!  I can't wait to play the next installment.

larpwriting and auror and kmusser, the hardest working cast/scene wranglers/floor GMs in show business.

wylddelirium and patentpope, who worked hard and were successful at stealing my heart.  And you are both Excellent dancers.  Without you leading, there is no way I would have won the dancing contest. :-)

monster_girl, who kept me in stitches as Miss Hannigan and in angst as Lois Lane, and was so kind to provide a gorgeous wedding bouquet (real flowers!).  And her real-life beau P, who I dressed down on Saturday morning for not sealing the deal with his doll, and who returned the favor in spades on Saturday night regarding my affaires d'amour (after I'd lost my heart for the 2nd time to a persuasive suitor, even though I still had the heart of my true love).

asa101, for taking care of the sound system all weekend and for chauffering us to a very nice dinner on Saturday night.  And, of course, for the roses.  Thank you. :-)

The woman who played Seargent Sarah Brown (whose name I didn't get)--she was very supportive and sympathetic to my plight...and a wonderful revival leader.

artful_username (is that right?) who was Miss Adelaide--you were great, kid.  I know you'll be a star!

DL, who was a fabulous Roger deBris and gave me some interesting moments in sorting out my past with him.

DG, who was not only instrumental in the making of a great dance contest (and Shipoopi!), but also helped make sure there was a wedding and scolded me for seeing the groom before it.

Everyone who attended the revival/wedding--that was some of the best LARP ever.

All those who were brave enough to "get on your feet and sing" (and dance!) all weekend.
Conrad Birdie (JM) was especially dreamy (at least to all the young girls and production assistants). ;-)

All those who worked behind the scenes to make sure we could go on with the show....

And, of course, random221b, without whom I wouldn't have had true love...or fantastic duets. ;-)  Baby, you're the top! :-)
