Holy shit!! The My Morning Jacket show was amazing!!! I'm sure it was expected, but, man, did they rock out!! In fact, they rocked it out for two and a half hours. They are defiantly one of my top three favorite bands now. Right up there with Blind Melon. Actually, during the show I almost expected Shannon to come up on stage and start singing. Weird.
And, oh man, is Jim beautiful. His music is amazing, obviously, but he just has such a sweet demeanor about him. And when he did talk it was softly and he only said good things. And he smelled soooo good!! He smelled like a boy, and I dig the smell of dirty boys.
I also understand why people put their hands up during church hymns. It's a spiritual thing. It makes you feel closer to the source of the goodness. I found that many times during the show my hand would just be up and open. It really was a spiritual experience. I have never left a show feeling that inspired. I wanted to go change the world in some small way. To somehow make it more beautiful.
What a great show.
And props to Kim for being awesome company. I've decided that she has to be my going-to-a-show budddy.
And Forrest... keep rockin out the hair buddy!!
But after the show..... I came home and realized that I had no hot water or heat at my house. And it was gettin cold outside. So last night sucked. I woke up cold two or three times. I was gonna call and bitch at the landlord as soon as I got home, but Steve had it all taken care of when I got back from class. It was sooo awesome to walk into a nice warm house! Yea Steve!!
I think I need to make it my business to clean the bathroom now.
