“Stop looking at him,” whispers Boa.

“I’m not looking at him.”

“You are.”

“I’m not!” protests Yunho.

“Your whole body is pointed in his direction. I can practically see your lusty, dilated pupils reflecting the poor guy’s figure.”

Yunho releases an indignant huff.

He faces his best friend with guarded shoulders.

“For your information, I was looking at the door.”

Boa rolls her eyes. “And how is objectophilia working out for you so far?”

“Wonderful!”

“Just admit it; you like him.”

“I don’t,” asserts Yunho.

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”

“I’m not- I don’t like him!” stutters Yunho, face heating up a pretty red.

“Enough with the blatant denial,” gripes Boa. “It’s so obvious you want him.”

“Who wants who? I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“So you’re telling me he’s not the reason why we’re taking the wrong metro again?”

Yunho resolutely shakes his head.

“For Christ’s sake, Yunho! I would’ve understood the first three times you ‘accidentally’ boarded the wrong train, but this pass doesn’t even run through the area we live! It’s about time you man up and just talk to the guy already.”

Yunho shakes his head again. “I can’t.”

“And why not?”

“Because he’s straight,” mutters Yunho.

Boa briefly glances at the man that is Yunho’s crush. Looks back at Yunho.

“You’re kidding me, right?”

Yunho only stares at Boa with sad, sad eyes.

“You’re not kidding.”

“…”

“You- urgh. You are such a fucking idiot!”

Boa proceeds to hit Yunho with several noisy slaps on the arm.

“Talk to him!” exclaims Boa. “Now!”

Yunho flails in the spotlight of the semi-full metro.

“Stop it!” complains Yunho. Nonetheless, with one last whack to Yunho’s pert bottom, the young man begins his reluctant journey towards his yearlong heartthrob who was, as usual, lingering at the back of the train. His legs tremble with anxiety and a hint of excitement as he walks and walks until he’s finally gazing into the other man’s dark brown eyes.

“H-hi,” greets Yunho.

He mentally smacks himself for the pitiful wave he gives.

“Hi.”

“I’m Yunho.”

“Shim Changmin.”

“So…”

“Yes?”

"I'm Yunho."

"I heard."

“Are you gay?”

Before the man can even respond, Yunho is already on his feet, rushing back to Boa, flushed and swearing a tsunami.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” whines Yunho, covering his face in mortification. He swiftly hides in the crevice between the metro seat and Boa’s back.

“Watch it!” shouts Boa when she feels a sharp elbow digging into her spine. “What the hell, Yunho! What happened?”

“Is he coming this way? He is, isn’t he?! This is his stop, Boa! He’s coming! Ackk! He’s going to beat me up!”

“Shut up, he is not going to- Oh. Hello.”

“Hi,” says Yunho’s not-so-secret-anymore crush.

Yunho groans, burying himself further into Boa’s small back; he begins chanting nonsense in hopes of making Changmin disappear faster.

“Sorry, he’s…” Boa glances behind her. “I’m afraid he’s momentarily lost his mind.”

The handsome semi-stranger merely smiles at her.

“He’s cute.”

Boa grins back, dimples showing.

"Will you help do me a favor?" asks the man.

"Yes, of course! Anything."

"I appreciate it." 'Changmin' then presses a folded piece of stationary into her palm. “Please give Yunho my regards.”

He leaves with one last glimpse at Yunho, smile still intact.

It’s only when the metro jolts into action again that Yunho quickly spins to steal the paper from Boa’s hands. “What is this?! Is this a threat letter?! Should I go to the police station?”

“Oh my god, Yunho. Just look at what the damn paper says, alright? You’re being overdramatic.”

Yunho launches his cringe-worthy pout.

“But I’m scared.”

Boa doesn’t even think - just crushes Yunho with the strength of her back muscles.

“Read it,” she hisses.

“Okay, okay, Wonder Woman! Give me a second.”

“One.”

“It-“

“So?”

“…”

“Yunho?”

“Hrnghhhhh.”

“Are you okay?”

“Asfghkkoieagggg.”

“Speak Korean, man. I can’t understand-“

“Guhhghgeeeg.”

“Ugh.” Boa rolls her eyes for the second time that day. She snatches the opened paper from Yunho’s hold, takes a single peek at the hastily written note before immediately, and straightaway, letting out a loud bark of laughter that fills the entire metro.

Call me, maybe. 010-4532-5005 -Changmin.
