Yet Another Trip
So here I am in Fort Myers beach down in Florida, on a more or less forced week-long family vacation. They have a rental home here for the week, which is fairly nice I have to admit, with a pool and nice kitchen and a tiny walk to the beach. Although as the bachelor of the group I have to sleep out on the loft, which is sure to be noisy and irritating come morning when everyone else is up and I just want to sleep in. My brother seems to have a cold as well, and I'd better not catch it.
I was told the home had wireless, but that turned out to be false.. just a single DSL modem at the eating area. But thankfully there are unsecured wireless networks in the homes nearby which I can sporadically sneak onto, yay. Having this new Eee901 netbook will hopefully help keep this trip from being as dull as I first feared.
And at least the weather is nice. Another big snowstorm was hitting Michigan just as the flight was leaving, but down here it's a comfortable 75 degrees. And and there was a big box of Tetley tea in the cupboard that I raided after dinner. Yay for small remembrances, there.
