Suggestions for a tree seem to run to "lemon" from qwerty88's silent partner. So here you go, a lemon tree. It was planted over ten years ago in the middle of the yard where the swing set used to rest. Either there isn't enough water (the grass has to fend for itself for most of the summer and all of the winter) or there's too much grass or the dirt is too hard or without enough nutrients... or maybe a few other possible reasons, the tree just hasn't grown in any appreciable way. It comes up to the knees and puts out lemons on its little twigs. It looks like it is about to snap any day.
