Tuolumne Meadows

I packed up camp, found some breakfast, and waited for the bus to come.  Up in Tuolumne again, I decided on something to take a few hours before taking the long drive back home.  I stopped at the Lembert Dome parking to hike up to Dog Lake and then to the top of the dome, planning to go out to the Dog Lake parking and catch the shuttle back.  Oddly each location is closer to the other lot.  Climbing quite a ways, I got to the lake.

Heading back and taking the other trail toward the road, I found a section of trail between well trod bits that was soft and grassy and had a Youth CCC group lining it with branches along a route with frequent pink ribbons.  It seemed like a reroute, but I didn't see the old route if it was.  Heading up the spur to the peak, I found it ended at the rock.  Above, it was mildly challenging to find a route up, but there was only a small section that needed hands and there may have been another route that didn't even need that.

After painting the meadow below, I made my way to the shuttle and the car and the long drive back.
