What do you think about how Mayumi has been acting?

Mayumi. . . I've seen a lot of people like her, in my days in the courtroom. They're the timid types, the type who would freak out the very moment the defense yells "Objection!" They may even pass out in the courtroom from all the badgering. Basically, they show themselves to be extremely weak and fragile, so that the court's sympathy may be upon them.

But from there, it goes both ways. What we see may not be an act at all, and that is her true self. On the other hand, it may all just be a ruse. She could have another side to herself, one that's conniving and might just be like the devil. Of course, we may only find out after much badgering.

That's about what I was thinking. I've been a little stuck on which option is more likely.

The other thing I wanted to ask was your opinion on Kokonoe.

Kokonoe is feisty. That is all I can say about her personality. She would be the type to admit in front of everyone that she did something, or that she would be willing to kill. Which in fact, she already has. She mentioned that if she were a wolf, she would have immediately taken down Hazama. And even if she wasn't a wolf, she would have killed him anyway.

Do you think she'd leave him in just in order to use that as a cover? On the one hand, it's a logical thing for someone who hates him to say. On the other . . . if she were a wolf, the other two wolves' opinion could have overpowered hers, and leaving him in causes confusion for everyone and it'd be easy to make him look like a wolf.

I don't think she would leave him, at all. If the other wolves disagreed with her, she may have forced the other two to change their minds. Then again, they may have made a deal that Toshiko leaves after the first day, while Hazama gets it after the second day. It's possible, really. But still, I don't think that she would leave him, at all. She wants him out of the game, immediately.

As for Hazama, he may as well be a wolf. I believe I've already said that. I wouldn't trust him with my life.

That does sound stronger.

Anyone trusting him with their life would have to have something wrong with their head.

You voted yet? I'm the vote on Kokonoe, though I'm personally split between her and Mayumi.

I voted on Rika for now. I suppose it's good to have at least one vote for each of those mentioned in the clues. If they have a vote against them, they may surely react to it. The sheep can get more information then.

I may still change it though. I want to know more about Mayumi and why she acts the way she does.

Sound enough logic. It's generally good to have at least one vote on each person in the clue this early on in the game.

Oh, and one thing: be careful about stuff like wanting to revisit the first clue. One of the sheep in my previous game got voted out the second night because she looked suspicious for voicing that she wanted to go back to that clue before tackling the new clue. I think you're going to be useful in this game, and I don't want to see you get piled on for something that stupid if it turns out you're a sheep.

I see. Thank you for your advice.

I have one question. Has there been a pattern as to who the wolves usually get? Are they those who have a good knowledge of things, or who they think is a threat to them? It usually is like that in movies, yes? In a group of people who start turning on each other, the one who has the most knowledge or has a general idea of who the culprit could be gets killed first. Why? Because he poses a threat to the culprit.

Because if I am gone by tomorrow, Kokonoe may be a wolf.

. . . Those are both normal options. The first couple nights are when wolves have the most freedom to remove sheep, since they don't want to eat from clues early on for strategic reasons. I'd say it's usually someone helpful, organized, knowledgeable, or threatening. It could also be someone the wolves thought they simply couldn't make look wolfish. Later on, it's usually the most threatening of any confirmed sheep out there.

Why do you think it might be her? Personally if I were a wolf I'd rather keep you in after your little blunder.

I suppose I just feel threatened by her, after our little talk. The only weapon I have is my head, and I may not know much about the game, I do know how to accuse a guilty party. We both agreed that if the wolves were to get the most knowledgeable ones first, then it would either be myself, herself, and Lambda.

Or course, we can't really say that she would get me off the game, if she were one. Hazama could still be eaten first.

So for now it's just mild speculation. I agree mostly with that lineup, and it's the fact that your blunder can be used to bite you in the ass that makes me believe you'll probably be left in. Probably. I think it'll depend on how this ousting goes. Most likely they'll take someone out of you, myself, Hazama, Ankh, and Parker. I'd say any of us could reasonably go for any reason already mentioned. You're a prosecutor, everyone wants Hazama gone, and the other three have won as wolves before.

Ah, those are good points.

If Rika were a wolf, and did not get ousted this round, would you think that she would take Lambda out to clear any suspicion of her?

. . . I don't know. I would say yes if this weren't a kill game. Rika plays really hard once it gets to about the third day, and she'd know how much of a threat Lambdadelta would be. The thing is, when there are high stakes it's easier to let someone get voted out than to choose them for eating.

What I do know is that it's poor strategy to eat from either clue tonight. If Lambdadelta goes, it'd be after the first clue is put up to vote again.

If we get a warning tonight it means all three wolves are still around. In that case, the flock needs to decide whether to vote on the first clue or the second. We'll know for sure that those clues still have wolves.
