TWO CSI POSTS IN A ROW? THE HELL?

It's like the universe just heard me talking shit.
I would have been SO EXCITED for this six months ago, and now I'm strangely not. Well, not exactly not, just... my level of excitement is rather low and a bit dubious.
Don't get me wrong, I am all about a potential Grissom and Sara Do Paris (Now with Bonus Monkey) episode(s), but I just don't see the need for randomly inserted solo Sara (and the potential for fuckery is too great). She hates Vegas, she up and quit her job at the lab so it's not like she can just pop back in and work a case, and her man doesn't live there anymore either. How lame of a plot device will it take for Sara to just randomly show up and somehow be involved in anything the CSIs are doing? "Oh, just happened to come back to see the dog while Grissom was away for a spa weekend, and oops a murder on my front porch! What are the odds?"
And they wrapped up the story of these 2 characters in such a nice way, it felt perfectly complete. A coda for the both of them would be one thing (and I could even see Grissom flying out to testify or something while Sara stayed in Costa Rica or wherever, but the reverse? IDGI), but this just smacks of beating a Rose Tyler-esque dead horse.
I take this all back if Sara is arrested for piracy during the episode, BTW. Or if Billy comes back too. Or the monkey.
