Internet = awesome and the 8 days of happy meme
The internet can be so awesome. ( XKCD here) Is there a McShep vid to Jessie's girl (Jenny's/Katie's guy)?
I feel bad about just posting that link (even though it hits my "Awesome" buttons). A while ago trobadora tagged me for the 8 days of happy meme. As you will have noticed I'm terrible at posting regularly (except the new challenges for mcsheplets. The current one is "At first sight". Write!) but I did note down my happiness. So here are eight days of happy all in one:

Marriage equality in Iowa and Vermont \o/
Fixed an evil bug at work.
The bus to work didn't come. The cool thing about that. We took the next one which takes a different route, so it was something else. Also, the weather was very nice.
Finished Ratchet & Clank \o/ I've bought the first three parts (and the PS2 so that I could play them) because I adored Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction after playing the demo. Note to publishers: Make demos available. If you have an awesome game, I'll want to play it.
Pre-ordered The Sims 3 CE. Sims 2 was before I knew John and Rodney. I had a gay character who was a family sim, but got his heart broken at the altar. So he adopted three kids and later found someone else. I played through his death after a long fulfilled life. I stopped playing shortly after that. Now I can't wait to play John and Rodney (and maybe other Hewligan characters). I've already made character traits list, though they're not a sure thing.
Finished Promise, which struck a chord with quite a few people :)
On the long Easter Weekend I took the time and read quite a few semi-lengthy happy-making John/Rodney fics. I love them so much :)
I can't remember day eight, but I tend to have many small happy making moments every day. I'm very blessed :D
I just ordered the Series 3 action figures. My only problem is what will I do with John? Right now the Johns and Rodneys are coupled up in a tender embrace (i.e. two John/Rodney couples). Oh wait. There's an Ancient chair!
I also wanted to make a note that I have a Dreamwidth account (won the lottery) and that you can get one too. If you don't want to ask people for invite codes (because you only want to secure your name or are shy or don't know anyone who has one...), you can get one for sure when open beta opens if you get an Open ID account and verify your email address. (Here's a step by step guide.) I'm not sure everyone is aware of that. This is your chance. I'm not posting there at the moment, nor do I plan to right now (except for fics that are too long for LJ, which will then be linked from here).
