28046 / 50000

I've (finally) finished the first draft of my first livelongnmarry fic. A John coming out story, clocking in at just under 15,000 words. I'm not sure how that happened.

Next up will be my second livelongnmarry fic, which is an AU which means NO Rodney/Keller! That alone is reason to celebrate, because seriously: I just checked and of my last eight finished ( Read more... )

Fix away, Please! Or, go AU from any episode so far since Rodney could see the light. We Know John has. *ACK* Wedding fic? Uhm, you fix that too, right?

Though OhHHHHHH! *bounce* at John coming out story :) Can't wait to see that one.

Yes, the wedding fic is also a fix it! I don't think I've actually written fic where either of them stays with someone else (my few unhappy fics were of the death or not allowing themselves to be happy kind).

I could just set things in a future where nothing ever happened between him and Jennifer (I mean right now, he's certainly not doing anything about his apparent feelings) and just not mention it. We'll see how things go for the rest of the season. And I do have a fic I want to finish that's set in earlier seasons.

I'm glad to hear it. It'll be posted within the month :) (And the wedding fic I'll post later today.)

You go with the fixing McKeller thing. I am absolutely fine with that and figure I will be reading a lot of that for awhile. Meanwhile, I am always incredibly impressed with your productivity. What you can do is really impressive.

It helps that it's November (aka the month of NaNoWriMo; I don't participate in the strict sense, but I do have a goal of writing 50,000 words)!

I'm glad that people don't seem to be sick and tired of the McKeller fixits. And at least it's not all just about Rodney being with someone else. Sometimes it's just reference to a past relationship, which leaves room to concentrate on John and Rodney.

I agree with the above comments, there can never be too many McKeller fixes. As long as they're all fixed!

Yes, they are all fixes. I'll leave the tragedy of Rodney being with Jennifer and not realizing that he returns John's feelings (for the moment) to canon.

So, one McKeller wedding fixit coming up ;)

Iiiii! *bounces* Glad to hear the ficcing is going well :) I salute your willingness to write Keller, I am cleverly setting everything I write in season two so I won't have to deal with her :(

That's a great solution! The only reason why I'm reluctant to go back to earlier seasons is that I love how deep their relationship has gotten the further you go into the show. If you look at their feelings to each other as expressed in "The Shrine". That's just so profound and wonderful, I don't want to miss it.

I wish they could just make the McKeller go away and have them figure out it won't work (like Rodney and Katie). But even if they don't, I look at Rodney in "The Shrine" and tell myself that no matter how much Rodney wants to lie to himself, truth will prevail eventually and he'll allow John to make him happy.

That's my solution too! Most of the SGA stories I'm currently writing are set within the first three seasons, mostly S2. They're pretty much AU from S4 and 5, but I kind of don't care. Just, no Keller and no love triangle.
